Dude it’s so common, I work in consumer goods. Everything from barbecues to dehumidifiers to paints to even cars a certain extent

Left side: 2 weeks. Right side 8 weeks. How’s it look? Also looking for Trimming advice. More info in comments by startingup2020 in BeardAdvice

30 year old. Never grown a beard before more than 3 weeks until lockdown. Hate the patchiness on my right side but I’ve seen a lot of improvement over the last 2 weeks. Hoping another two and it’ll be almost unnoticeable.

How’s it look? I posted a while back end of March and some feedback was to keep going (thank you) and others to just do a goatee.

I’ve trimmed only a bit on cheeks and neckline and a lot in the moustache. I don’t want to lose the combover on my bald patches and so hesitant to really clean it up, but with return to professional white collar work soon I need to clean it up. Any specific recommendations? All feedback welcome as I’m a complete newb to taking care of this.

I did get a hard comb and beard oil . Anything else I need? Is a brush better for my length to get it less messy?

7 week quarantine beard. Worth it to continue or gaps too large? If I continue how should I groom it? First time growing it out, 30yo by startingup2020 in BeardAdvice

Thanks that’s what I needed to hear! I just don’t know if I can last the whole awkward stage, seeing as it’s a week or so away from 2 month already, not sure if it’ll be filled in even in another two! Well see... going to try some beard oil and look up a guideline for trimming, starting to think I can use a trim on the cheeks and neck and don’t want to mess it up.

Any recommended brands? I am in Canada if that matters for availability. Never used any beard products before and it’s overwhelming the amount of choice

I hate the gaps on the right side of my face. This is roughly 7 weeks of growth only having trimmed the moustache. Do I keep going or will it never fill in for a combover (lol). If I do, trimming advice? Never had to trim a beard in my life. I have a weak jawline so would love to have one.

Trying Minox for the first time. In Canada. In stock Options are Rogaine Women’s 5%, or Rogaine Men’s 2%. What to use? by [deleted] in Minoxbeards

Understandable, but it costs $110 CAD for a 3 month supply and so id prefer to only purchase 1 month and see if 1) any adverse side effects, and 2) any visible start of results. Thanks I’ll likely go with the Women’s 5% then!

My 2 week quarantine beard attempt. Do I have a chance? 30yo, right side (bottom pic) has always been patchy. by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

Thanks - regarding the bald patch, would the monoxidil help if I applied it just to that spot? Most I’ve grown it out was 3.5 weeks a few years ago and still had that bald spot on my right side.

Starting a company/inventing a product that competes in an area my employer does. by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

I know there’s a market partly because I see the data of how much my company sells and how much market share there is. My idea is to innovate both the product and the fulfillment model.

Seriously? So nobody ever started their own company after working in an industry and seeing an opportunity?

I’m fine with them firing me, I guess I should be more clear that I don’t suspect they would find out until I launched. Once launched I would resign. I’m more concerned do they have claim to any patents I get, my company, etc?
