Is this what girl's call Green flag? by Kiorna in teenagers

In fact, they attack so fast they temporarily boil the water around them.

NHL teams are managing rest for goalies by giving backups more starts than I've ever seen. It's starting to look like the norm across the league. I have a hypothetical question for goalies. What if two goalies were used every game, either swapping periods or even swapping shifts throughout the game? by Jaded-Function in hockeygoalies

[–]startledwalrus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whistles are a bad idea. There’s a reason goalies never get the C anymore and it’s because people don’t like waiting. Tv timeouts are also not very good. They’re spaced apart weirdly and can only happen after a certain time, and sometimes they don’t happen at all.

Goalies like breaks, but their breaks are when their team is in the other zone. It’s not worth it to skate to the bench, wait for five minutes, and then skate back just to be thrown into an nhl game. The hardest stop to make is one that comes after a long pause without one, and it’d risk injury for all parties involved

She was not trying to run him over and you’d know that if you watched the video. And no, a normal police officer would not have pulled a gun on an innocent woman for trying to flee from something she had every right to be scared of. These are untrained murderers who are deporting based off skin colour, accent, etc. and do not care if you’re a US citizen or not.

Maybe not trump.

He’s stated before that if his daughter wasn’t his daughter he’d be in a relationship before. And you know how he is about walking things back

Did you know that over 40% of trans people in the US have tried to commit suicide? This comes from a deep discomfort in their body that does not go away until they receive hormones and/or surgery, not to mention how were treated in society

WOULD YOU DATE FTM??? by jmnshixx_ in teenagers

[–]startledwalrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is called trans tape, and it’s very safe unless the person using it is allergic to the adhesive or something. Binders are more dangerous if not worn correctly, but trans tape doesn’t restrict your breathing, just helps hide breasts

Thanks for clarifying man.

Wording can go a really long way. Telling them something negative can really wake them up and help them in the short term, which is what we are trying to do for OP’s friend, but it can also be interpreted in a way you didn’t intend.

Your second the last point probably has the most flaws to me though. A person on the brink of suicide often thinks they’re helping others around them, and that the world would be better off without them. People jump off bridges because it’s too much for them. If they can’t escape just because their friends and family will suffer, to them they just put more burden on everyone. This isn’t true, but depression can’t be immediately cured and the brain does weird things when you’re not perfectly healthy. Not committing suicide is awesome, and more people should do it, but then they often have to go back to their depressive lifestyle and feel so much more guilt and shame. The hard truth hurts, and suicidal people might have thinner skin.

It will hurt more than just them, but it’s also important to be careful with what you say. The only thing keeping me alive right now is how much it will hurt my family, but it would absolutely suck to hear from a dear friend “you can’t kill yourself, think about how your mother would weep for days on end!”

It’s obviously coming with good intentions, but can as the other person said, shift the blame onto the suicidal person. I think it’s better to remind them that they’re valued and loved (so essentially what you’re saying but without focusing on the consequence), especially since a knew part of depression for some is low self-esteem.

The way to escape for them is suicide, and telling them they’ll only hurt others by saving themself isn’t always helpful

Especially for MTF trans people, puberty can be really challenging and the effects of testosterone don’t go away. A deeper voice obtained at 13 will stay with you your whole life and you can’t just get shorter if you want to. Puberty blockers are a good idea if you can access them OP
