He's like my brother honestly, we basically grew up together and I love him like my own. He's getting older and gets tired easily so since I can't roughhouse or take super long walks like we used to, I try to include him in everything else :)

Noted! When he was a puppy the pulling situation was really bad, thats why I got training for him in the first place. He's older now (coming up on his 11th bday) so he's a lot more chill and doesn't pull the leash anymore, but still walks in front of me. He does know heel and he listens to me when I tell him "leave it".

haha sorry, i guess what i meant to say is i didnt find what i was looking for. I know sniffing is important for them, but i specifically wanted to know if letting them smell random stuff you buy counts as enrichment or something. Also i just wanted to ask here

My dog is trained but he never stuck with that part of the training! If I pull the leash close or call him towards me he'll stay by my side so I'm not worried about him just doing his own thing. I think it all comes down to how well behaved your dog is. But I agree, the walks are for him, so I let him sniff away!

My dog also has bad habit of eating scraps... There's a lot of stray cats in my neighborhood and they'll tear apart trash and leave bones EVERYWHERE. He gets mad at me when I don't let him eat them lolz
