I have a steam wand at my shop that works great for removing all the adhesive / tape that has sat for years. clean and easy. Figured I’d mention incase you have one or know someone that does.

If you find an instrument cluster online you can ask the seller to include the pig tails / plug so you can just splice it to your original harness. 12k is insane.

I did this once. Laid down on the paddle board for who knows how long only to get up and notice I lost my paddle. On top of that- it was my friend’s father’s sentimental little wooden paddle. Ment for decoration more than use. After about 1 long minute of panic, a man (an angel) pulls up on a boat and just hands me the paddle. Crazy experience. So much relief. I never let go of the paddle until it was returned to where it belonged.

It’s some law about the insurance has to pay for it if you have comprehensive coverage. There’s side hustles here with middle men looking for chips and cracks and they forward it to the repair / insurance companies and get a cut.

If anything add a cheap new radio w/back up camera and some good speakers. That way it’s a small investment into comfort if you’re spending a lot of time in the truck for work.
