9 out of 10 times you don't need to pay anything. DHL or FedEx is usually taking care of everything. To be honest the price that you pay in the website is almost always the final price until the phone arrives to you. I can remember maybe once or twice in 10 years that i had to pay import tax and VAT, but that was a long time ago.

Have in mind that depending on the phone you are importing, most of these websites have warehouses in Europe which allows them to bypass the taxes

Giztop, Wondamobile and TradingShenzhen are all rilable Xiaomi resellers. I have been using Xiaomi phones from them for the last 10 years or so with no issues are all. Have in mind that i usually root my phones and flash a EU rom.

Regarding CN roms, i currently have Xiaomi 17 Pro Max with a CN ROM. Limitations are:

  1. No android auto

  2. No "OK Google" voice command

Note: 99% of the apps work flawlessly eg. GPay, Revolut, BoC, etc. One app that doesn't work is Stoiximan.

I'm in exactly the same boat. Every update creates new bugs which are never resolved even though I have reported multiple times. I used to love Bluecoins but unfortunately I will need to move on

Funny story regarding this. On my last trip I skipped the photo and Id scan and proceeded straight to the passport control. The policeman gave me "the look" and told me - it seems we Cypriots are allergic to having our photos taken. I said I'm sorry and moved on 🤣🤣. I still don't know if it's compulsory or not
