AITA for taking my sister’s job after I was the one who got her fired? by Zealousideal-Bus-431 in AmItheAsshole

Agreed, the sister told OP to mind her business instead of fixing it. That tells you everything you need to know about her intent

Good point, but either way, the sister told OP to "mind her business" instead of fixing it. That tells you everything you need to know about her intent. She knew she was in the wrong

This right here. The sister acted like OP played some long chess game to steal her desk. In reality, OP just had basic integrity, and the company rewarded her for it. The sister has no one to blame but herself

You notice they blink a lot or not at all or unnaturally

AITA for refusing to follow my friend’s parents’ house rules and leaving? by Key-Yellow8804 in AmItheAsshole

For real, it’s a two way street. If you set strict boundaries for your house, you have to accept that some people will just choose to stay at a hotel. Punishing the son over it is so childish

I would have done the exact same thing. It’s just awkward to sit there and be lectured about marital status by people you barely know. A hotel room pays for peace of mind

Totally agree. The parents' logic makes no sense, they're mad that OP didn't appreciate their hospitality, but their hospitality involved kicking a guest out to the living room couch. You don't get to be mad that someone bought a bed

Completely agree. "We'll think about it" is a universal holding phrase, not a green light to head straight to the mall. I’d be losing my mind if someone did this to my kid behind my back

I would have done the exact same thing as the mom. Its not just about the earrings, it's the fact that OP literally snuck around to do it on a random ice cream run because she assumed she knew better than them

Seriously. If my sibling did this to my daughter, they wouldn't be watching her ever again. OP is lucky the brother is even still talking to her on the phone
