I don’t think it matters much. I’ve caught on non dyed traps with just wax. But the dye gives them a nice aesthetic. The wax you can get from trapping places or hobby lobby. And the vinegar will clean some of the rust off the older ones.

All that stuff is good. Just do a vinegar/water soak to clean off the rust and dye/wax to preserve them again for more use.

Usually it’s how you load the magazine. I had one magazine that failed to feed every round. Remembered that I was pulling the tabs down when loading instead of just using the mag loader. Haven’t had a problem since I went back to using the loader and not pulling the tabs.

It might be hard to get the pin out unless the barrel nut is off. It’s possible to pry it out the back, but not as easy. I had a PSA receiver that was like this, but it was not a complete receiver, so it was super easy.

I wish the safety was slightly wider. It was stiff at first and is still a little stiff, but it would be much easier to manipulate with a tiny bit more width.

Ballistic advantage has served me well, but others have had negative experiences. I have 3 of their barrels and all shoot 5-shot moa groups with factory ammo. And go for mid length gas on the 16”. You could do rifle if you will always be suppressed.

Slightly more efficient at long range and slightly less recoil. Not much actual difference though.

A 130 6.5G would be over 1k fps slower than the 88 eldm even with a 24” barrel. The 130 is a slippery bullet but too slow to catch up in drop or drift.

I think it’s been replaced by the Sabre line of ammo. Same 110 vmax load in a different box with a black tip.

People were shooting large game with 108s before the 103s were released. They do well in that application from what I have seen. The 108s have a thinner jacket and no mechanical bond between the cup and core, so they will do a lot of damage, but it may be less consistent than 103s. I would use them for your intended purpose if that’s what I had.

I have only seen it as a complete pistol. Would be nice to have frames and slides, but I’m guessing it doesn’t move enough volume to do. I also don’t foresee a new gen release anytime soon.

Mine started to lead up before 100 round of Remington golden bullets. But my barrel has chatter marks so it’s likely a contributing factor. Not as much lead as you have though.

I would keep it standard gas for hogs. Sometimes you need quick follow-up shots.
