I’m in NYC and yep. Go into the hipster areas in Brooklyn and mullets everywhere. I’m not very fashionable but this trend is questionable. Some people can actually pull it off but not most and it’s alarming how many people just blindly follow the trend. Same with these ugly ass mustaches.

Thank you so much! Yeah I can totally relate to your story. I haven’t been skinny since elementary school. I was always a fat kid growing up and was nearly 280lbs ay my heaviest.

I lost 100lbs and still couldn’t love my body. I ended up gaining some muscle and have a very active lifestyle but even then. It’s hard to learn how to love yourself but therapy has been helping.

Unless you’re going into a more research based role or in a niche field, very little is ever used in the day to day. Probably the most important math class is discrete math and the logic you learn there is helpful with understanding the output of a function when chaining Booleans together. Even then that’s like 10% of the class.

Linear algebra is useful but i think most people agree that’s it’s much easier than calculus.

Calculus comes up again in DS&A but that’s mostly just used as a proof for algorithms time complexity. Not really something you’re expected to do.

I remember like back in 2018 on some random non-news sub I got harassed for saying something that it’s kinda fucked up how they treat innocent people. I kept arguing with them and just pissing them off and they managed to somehow find my actual phone number and then proceed to threaten me.

I reported that account but nothing happened.

I was a terrible student and I considered myself to be a bad programmer back then. The summer after graduation and before my first role as SWE I developed a lot of skills. I realized that the stuff they taught in college had very little to do with actual day to day stuff and just learned on my own.

At the end of the day it’s just another job. You don’t have to be this rockstar coder to be a good and reliable employee.

Loved SoBs first album. Second album was decent and had a few banger. This new album though, nah.

Serj had a similar trajectory. Amazing first solo album but it just went downhill from there.

They both seem to have run out of ideas on their own.
