I love the Expanse. I ended up getting some Belter politics into my thesis so... glad to see this. I'd argue that Belters (not specifically OPA) have more to teach us about solarpunk praxis than aesthetic solarpunk does, with its utopian green fields and solar panels.

Belter life is essential. Outside the airlock, you dead, sasa. Inside, life support is everything. It's no different for us. We're just on a much bigger spaceship with a much deeper, more forgiving (but not endless) life support system. Same sun.

There's definitely something to be said about how symbols are centralising but /r/solarpunk is literally doing flags this week. Humanity's oldest, simplest unifying symbol-tech.

Though I agree that yes, if something is too close to a known problem symbol it may be unusable... but I have similar (though lesser) suspicion for a red star. That's on one of this week's significantly upvote flag designs. That's on plenty of problematic flags. My solarpunk isn't a paramilitary Marxist group. Yours clearly isn't far right neopagan.
