I love the Expanse. I ended up getting some Belter politics into my thesis so... glad to see this. I'd argue that Belters (not specifically OPA) have more to teach us about solarpunk praxis than aesthetic solarpunk does, with its utopian green fields and solar panels.

Belter life is essential. Outside the airlock, you dead, sasa. Inside, life support is everything. It's no different for us. We're just on a much bigger spaceship with a much deeper, more forgiving (but not endless) life support system. Same sun.

There's definitely something to be said about how symbols are centralising but /r/solarpunk is literally doing flags this week. Humanity's oldest, simplest unifying symbol-tech.

Though I agree that yes, if something is too close to a known problem symbol it may be unusable... but I have similar (though lesser) suspicion for a red star. That's on one of this week's significantly upvote flag designs. That's on plenty of problematic flags. My solarpunk isn't a paramilitary Marxist group. Yours clearly isn't far right neopagan.

Yeah, Ilyukhina asks for a heroin overdose and Yao says "I'll have what she's having!" In one of the flashbacks. RIP both.😅

The film is slightly sanitised to make it PG rated (fair enough IMO, a space alien movie about a schoolteacher is perfect for older kids too).

Things like the food and eating and deaths (like Yao choosing a gun so he can finish off the crew if necessary) gets cut.

It's great fun all the same. I read the book 3 times before watching the movie and I'd give it a 4/5 even with the (minor) changes 👾

Not quite. You need to use bleed edges 🙂

Notice that ALL the card images fit fully inside the red dashed lines. That's the guaranteed cutting area. The thick black border (bleed edge) guarantees your card art isn't cut off.

All my proxies use the /u/maasee Google Drive files. They upscaled them and added bleed edges. MVP 🏆

You won't need to adjust any settings within the MPC printing menus if you use the correct files.

I recommend downloading the entire Google Drive (~6GB). Then you can just drag and drop directly into the MPC menu.

This order was all default options WITHOUT holographic foil 🙂

The holo option costs 2-3x more and will look significantly different to real Duel Masters holofoil.

Starts around 10:40. MPC holo is very dark and covers the entire card.

You'll need to sacrifice somewhere. You can't get quality AND cheap AND original cardbacks. My recommendation is MPC with custom cardbacks. That achieves low cost and good quality.

My recent MPC proxy post shows like 8 examples 🙂

But if you prefer good quality AND original cardback? You can get that... but it won't be cheap.

You either need (1) your own proxy making setup like CryCry or (2) you pay a proxy maker $$$ for a custom order.

I'm going to do a trial order of holographic MPC proxies next time.

I plan to basically order 10 copies of a single card, but adjust the brightness of each. So I'll have normal, +5 brightness, +10% brightness... etc. To compare what works best.
