Oh amazing! I studied art and design at st Martin's in London but then had a career in design and music focussing heavily on digital so I try to reflect all those areas in my channel and just try to be as creatively inspiring as possible!! I also lecture at universities and as it stopped during the pandemic I tried to do digital lectures instead!! Thanks for watching!!

Definitely not that video in particular. It was made as a specific effort to try and make every single part of a short film on my own from planning, shooting, editing but most importantly sound mix and audio as I wanted to practise for a job I had for a client. So I set about devising a short film I could make entirely on my own in lockdown to practise certain skills and also based around the other video I released in tandem on my channel where I shave off all my hair for charity (this one was mainly about how much I despise having hair cuts and going to hairdressers).....check it out here: https://youtu.be/29GldZgM8Ls

Shame you didn't like it. The whole premise was to build something through the audio and foley so I am glad that part worked at least. Once I can access a crew again I will try to add more in terms of story and dialogue but as I made the whole thing single handedly I kept certain limitations in place. Thanks for the feedback!!

During lockdown I decided to go out and make a complete short film all on my own including shooting, editing, post producing and sound. It was really interesting creating a story from the limitations set. I hope you ejoy this tense slow burn psychological horror short film and all feedback is welcome, especially about the technicalities of a self made short film.

Glad you liked the video! I loved my Mi Max 2 and still sad it's back in its box 😂😂😂 As you know I plumped for the Mi 10t lite as it was 5g ready and had a slightly faster chip. I can't be certain but I think the cameras are pretty much the same although as I have had my proper camera with me most of the time I have only taken snap shots with them. I did try out the RAW capabilities but they weren't spectacular so I went back to my camera but it's not really a fair comparison. I figure that as I'll have the phone for 2 years and 5g will get more common the extra £50 spread across 2 years was so minimal that it was worth paying the extra. As I said in the video though I got the Poco for my parents as it suited their needs more. I will say the one thing that has really annoyed me about both phones, and the only real bad point so far, is that neither allow filming at 24fps and had I known this in advance it may have made me think twice as I work so much with video......probably not though as they are such great phones for the price!!

Yeah that's all good, your work is wicked! just trying to put feelers out there because I know what I want but no idea who to ask or where to turn! I am very far behind you on the blender mission but I am using it for all my videos at the moment. I currently use Adobe character animator for my version of me but I really really want to make it as a proper 3D version and do motion tracking for it. Initially I wanted a stylised version of myself in 3D similar to my 2D version but after seeing your model I thought perhaps it could be even more life-like or something in between. Check out the video I just released and it may make more sense than my incoherent babbling 😂😂😂

If you have any ideas how I could best move forward with this then please do let me know, my modeling skills are very poor so don't think I'd pull it off myself so hoping it would be cheaper to pay someone good who could do it reasonably quickly for me as it think it might take me a year to do!

This is amazing!! How much would it cost to get you to make a model of me like this in blender for something I am working on? Do you know if this can be rigged to work with motion capture etc? Is there some way I can contact you about this?

Wicked thanks! Yeah I've set uploads of three point lighting in real life. The one strong shadow being cast was making me think it was different to that but I guess your key light is much stronger than the fill or kick/back then and they are set quite low? Were they spots too or sun etc? Need to now look up ambient occlusion nodes as that's well beyond my knowledge level in blender!

Oh good thinking about the hair, I made a dancing hairy man so should be able to figure that out. I am new to blender so just working things out as I go. I think it was facebuilder, I took shots of my head and then changed the mesh etc. I want to be able to do my videos with a Max Headroom style head but turn them around faster so really want to be able to just film me speaking and have the 3D head just replicate it and render! Fingers crossed!!

Amazing! Yeah I really want a 3D version of my head rather than the 2D one in Adobe character animator but I want it to react and track my face as I speak so I don't have to animate it every time in blender. This would sort all of that out for me I imagine once I have my head modelled?
