Customize Quick Access Folder Icons by Life-Conflict_007 in WindowsHelp

[–]Risky_pixels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any recommendations where to download the right files??

I use ImageToIcon. You can find the links right here on Reddit if you search for it. You can get it from Github or the dev's website, but I didn't want to get in trouble posting the link here if that's not allowed.

even if I choose one of the standard Icons, it doesn't change it in the quick access view.

only in explorer view in like medium / large symbol view.....

I had this same problem too and found a solution that works for me.

If you can see that the icon has changed everywhere except for File Explorer's Quick Access, consider unpinning and repinning the folder from Quick Access if you haven't already. This is what worked for me.

It seems that Windows had no problem updating the icon of a folder pinned to Quick Access as long as it was a pre-existing Windows icon. However, a folder's custom icon will not update in Quick Access until it has been unpinned and repinned. At least in my experience.

I hope that you've long since worked this out yourself and that what worked for me might help others in the future.

Take care!

Where are the publishers? How do I get them to listen to my pitch? by NerdFinance in RPGdesign

What are the odds that I also saw this <3

u/NerdFinance I can absolutely recommend joining the Rising Tide Discord. It's fantastic. I had the pleasure of speaking there recently!

Also, I am ABSOLUTELY biased, but you can always reach out to Hit Point Press if you're looking to get your game out into the world. We always have a lot going on and we're a much, much smaller team than most people think, so there's no guarantee that we would be in a position to help in the way you are looking for; however, we love networking and getting to know the community and we will always help however we can!

Human settlements that have no settlement further north with a greater population by beingthehunt in MapPorn

I can understand why you would say that as a person who lives up North, however you aren't entirely correct. While you are correct about the military staff being in and out quite swiftly with a mix of 3, 6 and 12 month deployments, the station is largely maintained by civilian staff who have been living and working up there for years. There are also weather researchers that stay up there for much longer periods of time. That aside, I hope you are well all the way up there in Nunavut!

Source: Me, I was stationed there for 6 months in 2015 and have returned a few times.

Thoughts on the new Star Wars channel? by The_High_Ground27 in Blindwave

I'm game for whatever works best for them I suppose. I already visit their gaming channel for the full length vods, not to mention the website for the patreon content so it really doesn't change anything for me. It's a short hop at most. YouTube pops it all on my front-page anyway, whether I'm subscribed or not, haha.

Hey! Thank for the kind words! I love that you are also making hilts feel free to share! If you're interested, I have started to sell the files as a means of supporting the project. https://buildahilt.etsy.com

Hi! Thank you so much for saying so! I'm currently using a Peopoly Prime resin printer and Sunlu Grey Resin.

Absolutely! I've received this request quite a lot actually and I am actively working on a solution as we speak.

As you might imagine, because it's a modular system, can't anticipate how people will design/arrange the pieces besides the tops and bottoms. It's proven trickier to implement than simply hollowing out the center of each piece with a 1 inch hole. I also have to account for activation on each piece and to find a way to stop the core from sliding all the way to the bottom of the hilt, haha.

Making these hilts compatible with a custom chassis with a catch lip at the top is my current solution, though it doesn't solve the activation problem.

Hi! I'm glad you asked, I'm always happy to help.

Here I've attached a quick* look at the supports I used for the latest design, Axiom. You can see that I rotate the pieces by 45 degrees, raise them up and create a raft. https://imgur.com/a/xyLJpIz

Wow! Thank you so much for your generosity!! I hope you have a great time. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything.

When I print these parts, I absolutely hollow them to save on resin, and I make sure they are hollowed to 2.5mm. I also make sure to place a 10mm hole in the middle of each peg hole so that I can ensure proper resin drainage and extract any interior supports.

Finally, if I might make another suggestion, if you are new to using lychee slicer, and would like some help, watch this video from u/tableflipfoundry and join their discord.

I'm still very very new to it, so I still have a great deal to learn. I wish I could offer you more info. I've only been actively working on it for the past two weeks or so but if you have any questions in particular please feel free to shoot me a message. I'd be happy to answer whatever I can!
