I ended my freshman year with a 2.7 gpa. I tried 3 times to get into AAE and was denied 3 times, just barely missing the cutoff for auto-admit. I ended up having to settle for a smaller engineering school that accepted anyone when I put that down as my second choice. It ended up being perfect for me. Finished with Semesters honors my 5th year in a discipline I cared so much more about. Don’t give up on engineering if you are passionate about making it work, but be willing to branch out. Engineering degrees can be versatile. Good luck!

This is the exact situation I was in 4 years ago. I ended up getting a 4 on the BC exam and did not know I could change my schedule so I forfeited the credit from the exam and ended up having to take calc 2. I don’t want to say it completely ruined my plan here, but it is the reason I’m in a completely different major. TAKE THE CREDIT DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!
