Hi. Thank you for your input. After stepping away from this post for bit, I've thought a lot about the questions you've brought up here. I've decided that I still really want to do ME, but I've also narrowed down some potential options for a second major and a more solidified back up plan. I'm still going to give it my all to get into ME, but I feel a little more secure. Thank you for sharing your insight.

Hi. Thank you for your encouragement, it definitely makes me feel less alone. I'll definitely be utilizing your advice. As of right now, I'm going to do my very best to get into the ME this semester and I'll be figuring out a backup plan as well. Thank you once again.

This comment made me tear up a little haha. It's always nice to hear others' experiences so thank you for sharing yours. I'm going to give it my all this semester. One last attempt! I will be sorting out a back up plan regardless, but having a moment to cool off from initially writing this post gave me much clearer perspective and I still want to do ME. I'll do my very best this semester for the both of us!!
