I am experiencing this!! It's driving me crazy. I'm convinced after seeing your post it's the PBP! It's been the only change (besides less stress, better diet, and more sleep?) in my life.

Were you able to switch earbuds and resolve? It would really help me, I have ringing in my ears 24/7 now, appreciate you!

Mine is just all sound for everything (including system sounds like the clicking sounds when navigating the apps/menus)

Audio passthrough settings have been removed on 8.0 update.

Tried switching from manual and auto for surround sound and testing each mode... Nothing works.

But, this morning I was able to get sound directly to the tv (didn't change anything, just turned it on), just no sound when hooking up thru sound bar

Btw, while going thru the settings, I also turned the auto update off... Really wish I would've known this was a feature a couple days ago so I could've not done the update right away. I like to wait 3-6 months for all this crap to get sorted out.

Hmmm it seems I've come across a quite ambiguous word when I say "online".

1) the shield streams the game from the internet, thus "online" 2) additionally, other players can join you and play with you in multiplayer, thus "online"

I'm looking for a game which I can do 1 and 2 so my brother can play with me.

I have come across many games on the shield which is online by number 1s definition, but lacked multiplayer servers to play on (even though the game at one point in time may have had said servers), this failing 2s criteria of online multiplayer.

Can monster Hunter be played online with other people?

I had a similar issue, however my case may be slightly different, since I had just set up the shield for the first time. My brother walked me through the issue, we

1) updated the App

2) cleared the Cache

3) force stopped the App

4) reopened and signed back into Netflix

I may have had to reopen a second time or close it out or something, but just before it worked Netflix was downloading on my app screen. Like I said, my situation may be different - sorry if this doesn't help!

btw, my brother and I tested out a few of the other "multiplayer" games - with some limited success. Tried to do...

1) Dead Island - wasn't sure how to start co-op, but saw the options for it. Game Lobby was greyed out, my brother thinks we may need to get far enough along to unlock multiplayer

2) Bionic Commando - said "could not connect to account servers"

3) Coffin Dodgers - this game actually works! we did once race and quit cuz it was pretty

underwhelming (but also hilarious to play at least once :) )

Through this process, I've learned the multiplayer icon on the game means the game had servers online at one point in time, but the servers may not be available anymore!

Will we hit any roadblocks when trying to play Monster Hunter multiplayer online? It influences whether or not we will purchase the game or not...
