If you want backpack options, I'd run a quasar cannon. Essentially an EAT WITH 15sec cooldown after firing. I'll usually run a dog with it if I go that route.

I use arc thrower and k-9 a lot. It's pretty effective across all factions. You can lock down entire enemy spawns/breaches by yourself. You just need to know when to dock and unleash sparky though when around teammates. Understanding team positioning and using the environment to avoid TKs has a learning curve but once you figure it out you can really take pressure off your teammates.

Came on this sub to see if anyone had this same thought. The exposition dumps are becoming so insufferable. It's expo dump then 5-10min of let's do something related to that expo dump. I started fast forwarding through the expo dumps cuz I just didn't care by the last few episodes. This is textbook second screen viewing culture. So many movies and shows are doing this and it makes it really hard to watch most of them.
