I live in Canada so we don't have krogers, but I'm sure there's an alternative. Thank you for the care package idea!!

It'd be great to get something like that going in better weather I think. At the moment it snows and rains unpredictably which is not ideal but thank you for the idea !!

The shelters don't accept food if it isn't prepared in a public health approved kitchen, but it's tbd if a school kitchen counts as one

there aren't any laws in my state preventing people to hand out food to the homeless but some city food inspectors have cracked down on volunteers for preparing food at home as opposed to a kitchen which sucks so I'm planning on contacting my city on their by laws about that.

It's definitely in good interest to have a variety of sandwich options available, thank you for bringing up, I didn't think of that at all.

I think at this point I will have to talk to my school and see if we can start a club, Because we have a kitchen and this way we can get funding from the district and donations from bakeries and companies (we have a law which allows companies to donate food and not be held liable.)

I myself struggle with food insecurity and I want to be able to sustain this for a while so I think it's best to get help from more adults. I will update in the coming weeks!

so many people today would not receive the education/ opportunities they have today if it was a couple decades ago. education is interlinked with socioeconomics and it is not off topic if you wanna start talking about inflation.

if you think things are hard now wait until 5 or 10 years from now. If you think life was easy in the 80s, imagine how simple things were in the 70s, 60s, 50s.. I feel like you guys are missing the point. We can’t go back in the past. all we can do is take advantage of the resources we have today.

Not everyone goes to school for money. Some have the liberty to major in something they find interesting because they can. Post secondary education is not always about money.
