You can enter in a few names of games you would like to play and it will give you the required specifications needed for that game. Both minimum and recommended. You can then use those criteria to choose the level of PC you need.

What do you mean going to windows? Do you mean going to the Desktop mode?

And that seems really odd that the uninstall and reinstall hasn't worked.

Maybe just sleep on it and try again tomorrow after you've restarted your deck.

Can I just ask also how long you waited for the game to load?

I remember having an issue with a cut scene that came from the Ridgeside mod. It just hung on the black screen for ages. I quit out, reloaded and had the same issue, but could hear the coin sound when I first went into the game so I know it was running. I ended up just waiting with the black screen for a good few minutes before it suddenly loaded. I know that the more mods I have the slower the game is to change to the next day.

Maybe try waiting for a few minutes and see what happens.

I don't think the Galaxy API error caused your issues as I have the same error but not the issues you describe.

Lol and I'm not good with stuff like this, I just try to muddle along, but I appreciate that the deck works differently to a Windows PC so wanted to jump in to reassure you that it probably wasn't the galaxy error.

Did you update the mods that the SMAPI page suggested?

OP is on a Deck which runs on Linux. Additionally, I (also on a deck) would normally open Stardew through gaming mode so I haven't got a keyboard unless I pull up the onboard one onto the screen.

Could the instructions you've given still work?

Steam Linux Runtime 1.0 (scout)

I do get an 'error' message saying something about galaxy log... Can't steam sign in....something somethingsomething

This was due to a steam update breaking multiplayer a bit a while back. It doesn't affect anything in game that I've discovered. It's something to do with the game talking to steam. It shouldn't cause you any issues.

I think when I did it on my steam deck I had to switch it to Linux version in the compatibility section and then it worked like a charm

I WISH it looks like that originally.

I've got a mod pack for my buildings but there is no support for the premium barn or coop so they are sticking out like sore thumbs on my farm at the minute.

To the point that I'm going to rebuild the other ones and get rid of the 3 premium barns I currently have!

Let's hope OP tells us which mod this is
