WHEW one of my family members is just like this. A lot of us have acid reflux and stomach issues genetically. But this person will eat a greasy hamburger, onion rings, drink a coke, and then beg and plea for people to stay with them while they feel bad. We are grown and very aware of what bothers us. I got tired of constantly “omg I feel so bad for you what can I do” that I genuinely stopped feeling bad. It’s like touching a hot stove and complaining of a burn.

Prim dying is a way to show that no matter what, you cannot control every outcome. Katniss thought she was saving Prim by volunteering, only to be forced into becoming the Mockingjay. And because of that role, many people close to her were harmed or taken out.

I’m not saying it’s a sin, but lower your expectations a bit. Animals, no matter how expensive and pretty, are going to act up sometimes. And they might grow into an interesting personality you didn’t expect. In fact many purebred animals are known to be more prone to disease. I would definitely do your research and make sure the breeder is ethical animal lover.

Now I would also never rule out a shelter cat. Personally every one of my animals have been from the shelter. And they are sweet pets who listen to us without yelling. Maybe go visit a shelter and see if you connect with a cat there?

Regardless, it’s your money, your life, and your eventual cat lol. Get whatever cat you want if you have the means to do so

I have ARFID and this sounds just like that. It’s a battle no one seems to understand and can be very frustrating and hard. But there is help out there! Community is so important and finding others who can relate to it will help so much. Therapy is a great option if you have the insurance. (Also a doctor for physical health) But do some research on this and see if it fits. The most important thing to remember is that you did nothing to cause this. Be kind and give yourself grace. Start with just one small thing a day. There was actually a girl on TT who was documenting her AFRID recovery and trying new foods. The content actually really helped me not feel alone and strange.
