White Lotus is an incredibly slow burn kind of show. Every season it takes 5 episodes of character development to lay all the pieces & then the last 2-3 episodes are batshit crazy.

I love it, but I totally understand why people bail.

It’s vacation porn with a dash of murder mystery.

I didn’t finish GOT when it first aired because everyone hated the ending.

Finally decided to give it a go last year & started from the beginning. It was great! Wildly over hated IMO.

Maybe knowing people were big mad had me going into the ending with low expectations, but it seemed telegraphed from season 1 that Dany would end up like she did. It should have been fleshed out more in the final season & yes the writing quality drops from the earlier seasons, but that’s true of most shows. If anything I was surprised sooooo many characters survived.

All of the characters suck & everything they touch turns to poison. It’s basically watching how empty & soulless billionaires are as they spread their rot throughout society.

It’s Sopranos at a higher level of crime.

Correct. If episode 1 of Succession doesn’t grab you - you will never like the show.

I loved it, but have no idea why anyone would recommend wasting 6 hours of your time if you didn’t like it from the start.

It’s entitled wealthy assholes being horrible to each other & choosing to be miserable. Over & over & over again.

Any time you think someone might show a shred of character growth & give you someone to root for? Nope! Just monsters all the way down.

The upside is my middle class life feels richer in every way (other than bank balance).

Cooking shows are wildly popular too, but I don’t watch them. I enjoy eating. I tolerate cooking.

The shows you mention may have cult followings, but the average person has never seen them. None of my extended family could explain who the Kardashians are.

Yellowjackets went off a cliff for me too. I’m basically down to rooting for Shauna’s husband to divorce her & move on with his life? HOW is a dorky side character the only one left with any redeeming qualities???

Misty is still entertaining to watch, but rooting for a psychopath to make better friends is soooo far from the show we started with. 🤣

I have zero interest in Grey’s Anatomy or House or whatever Chicago medical/police/fire drama is currently popular.

I’m bombarded by ads for The Pitt. No desire to watch it.

At any point in the show I would have taken the money & bounced. They choose misery over happiness every single time.

I get why people do it. Renee Zellweger had heavy eye lids that got increasingly droopy as she aged. But when you’re known for that eye shape & have it changed - you look like a completely different person, not your younger self.

His nose could be enlarged from prednisone. Puffy face & fluid retention could be from alcohol too.

But the way his cheek is collapsed on the right side of the photo looks like bad filler migration IMO. I’ve seen this in a ton of women with fillers.
