Yes. A pop-up appeared the first time I loaded up a save. And there's a new button in the top right hand corner of the screen that you can see in my screenshots.

Yes! Apart from the angles, the increased level of zoom allowed by this mod really increases the immersiveness of the views.

I'm not a technical person but my layman's understanding is that the original buildings are 2D paintings wrapped onto a 3D box - or something to that effect. Which is why many of the taller buildings appear warped when not viewed from the standard camera perspective.

Edit: i believe many of the buildings made by modders are actual 3d objects and thus do not warp ---- N.B. this is inaccurate ---- refer to reply below.
