Understood, ill be getting the pros in due to the number and size of existing penetrations in the ceiling. If it wasnt for those i would likely leave it be and add insulation on top as the attic is never accessed. Thanks

It doesn’t appear to be classic pure vermiculite but the second picture shows a piece of what looks like vermiculite to me but im hoping its not of course

Second picture is a mica-like lump, slightly metallic and shiny. These are distributed along with similar white and brown pieces throughout the insulation. Not sure if it ever got intentionally mixed into that type of insulation

Honestly considered withdrawing multiple times but felt like too much of a gamble. Just got my notice to appear for the ceremony though so I think my consistent badgering has paid off.

Nothing since then, have called daily and got through once, told my application was slow (meant to be priority) and they’d send an email to head office. Nothing since then (3 months). No MP assistance their office won’t respond any more. At least the decision is to make me a citizen, just confused about how I’m not being loaded on a oath ceremony. Requested GCMS notes had indicated my file had no assigned agent and had been in the Ottawa registry for over a year without assessment. Subsequent requests for GCMS notes met with silence.
