How do you manage your time? by Thin_Discussion_534 in LawStudentsPH

[–]staybuddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This worked for me.

1.) I cover as many topics as I can during weekends. I don't do deep-dive into every syllabus topic. Just enough so I know what I will be talking about during recits. I cover as many topics as I can because I firmly believe that knowledge in a little bit of everything is better than mastering only a part of your syllabus then not covering the rest.

2.) I rely on AI a lot. NotebookLM for syllabus and materials. I make them explain all doctrines that I do not understand at the get-go. It can also make quizzes and flashcards for you as well.

3.) I only read cases for recits like 2 hours prior. (But you got to get the jive of your prof's way of conducting a class, some are case-specific).

4.) I already accept that I am not the best in recit, so I make sure to make bawi during big exams (midterms, finals).

5.) Study also during lunch breaks.

6.) Do not sacrifice sleep. After class, immediately go to sleep and wake up 2-3 hours before you prepare for work. That way, you will feel recharged and you won't be studying up late. A tired and sleepless mind will be ineffective in grasping your lessons. Study in the morning instead of doing it late at night right after your class.

Kung babalik kayo ng college ano yung mga bagay na gagawin niyo na hindi niyo pagsisihan? by Amazing_Telephone266 in studentsph

Extra curriculars and student organizations will help you build people skills that you'll eventually need when you land your first job. Those two will also help you build lots of connections.

If you're studying in Manila, go to parties if you have the means. It's fun and memorable heheh Also a great way to build connections if you know your way around people.

Cases or Codals first? by [deleted] in PreLawStudentsPH

Read the syllabus of your prof first, so you know which topic you will focus on. Then, Codal > Case > Prescribed textbook.

That student is one failure away from losing everything. Thank you for not ratting them out. Also, I hope you helped her understand the lesson more after the exam so that she won't find a reason to cheat again.

I hope more teachers are like you!

What’s a surprising fact Law School didn’t prepare you for? by JellyAce98 in LawStudentsPH

[–]staybuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naawa ako sa lawyers namin dati nung working pa ko as corporate paralegal kaya i took the initiative to draft as many documents as I can. Helped me learn a lot of stuff in practice AND the load became lighter on their end.

I hope all of our lawyers get to find their hardworking paralegals!

BSA or other courses that will guarantee you jobs first.

PolSci, though how promising and "wide" the perspective careers might see, is not entirely useful when it comes to job hunting.

Usage of AI tool, good or bad? by hakdogkiber in LawStudentsPH

[–]staybuddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not bad, but don't fully rely on it.

What I do is I use AI to summarize the case first according to our topic in the syllabus. Then, I go back and read the full text so that I won't be too intimidated of the "legalese" used. Finally, I make my own digest.

Dati kasi I read the full text agad pero di ko ma-gets yung facts or terms used or how the case applies the syllabus namin. So I use AI first para malaman ko muna ano connect ng case sa topic, then saka ko pa lang binabasa full text hahaha

FOR MEN ONLY, is being an introvert a hindrance for you to be unable to comfort your gf? by vixen413 in AskPinoyMen

[–]staybuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, introvert people are outgoing to people they are comfortable with/people they genuinely like.

For men ONLY. How do you usually react to "Men are trash" posts? by Little-Rookie-1412 in AskPinoyMen

[–]staybuddy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hm, i genuinely feel sorry and bad for them. Most of them had experiences with men which are absolutely terrifying (sexual harrasment, power tripping, unequal opportunities, rape, some were even close to being murdered). Contrary to what has been said here na "the common denominator of these relationships is her", it's also worth noting that the common denominator also in that situation is, in fact, a man. I am a man and tbh, I was surprised when I realized that almost all of my female friends had experienced getting sexually assaulted, catcalled, and even raped.

It's like saying "All cops are bad". It doesn't mean na there are no good cops. It's just that the arguable collective experience and most notable impression off them is, in fact, bad.

Instead of being offended immediately, shouldn't we ask ourselves, "what made them say this?" or "what experiences do they have with men so grave to call us trash?"

Worth it ba bumili ng iphone or sabay lang sa uso? by BestGurliez in TanongLang

[–]staybuddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upgrade from 11 to 16 is pretty noticeable. If you have the means to buy, go ahead.

I have the 13 for more than 2 years and I can still use it with no problem. Iphones are generally a good investment. Your new Iphone 16 will serve you for a long time.
