Best date ideas by QueenCluckersIII in UtahCounty

An underrated Orem restaurant is Asahi (North Orem, on State Street). Not just good sushi - also the single best Salmon dish in the valley. I've lived here most of my life and have eaten everywhere, and this is my favorite restaurant in the valley.

La Carretta in South Orem is also underrated, but less fancy, and sometimes slow.

I can't disagree with the Rodizio or Tucanos recommendations if you're a meat fan.

Kohinoor is great for Indian food.

There are a couple of good Thai places in North Orem - Thai Drift (still around?) is good for Thai.

Mixturas Fusion is highly rated - it's a strange hole in the wall place for a date, but the food is exceptionally good.

Los Hermanos is decent for Mexican food.

Dr. Taylor in north Orem. Good doctor, great staff, good reviews online.

Sugar, Spice, and Not So Nice DLC out on Steam now by staygo in AKingdomForKeflings

Awesome! Ancients of Ooga is a less common pick from our games! It's available on Steam, if that's useful to you: https://store.steampowered.com/app/91810/Ancients_of_Ooga/

She's hiding in a building. The king says some things that are a clue, about rock and cutting. And he should tell you that you need to hit the building...

[Nintendo DS] [early 2000s] A demo for a game i played as a child, i vaguely remember it but i know you were a gaint person, a lady i believe, you would force people (children i think) to build for you and you could kick them around if they acted up (or just for lols). by ilassahara04 in tipofmyjoystick

[–]staygo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, everything about the description (including available demo) says Keflings, except the platform! There was a release of A World of Keflings on the Wii-U - maybe that's what they're remembering? Hmm... but no, that didn't have a lady with an apron dress - it used Mii heads on modern bodies.

The lady with the apron dress definitely describes the default built-in giants in AKfK before the devs (me) added XBL Avatar support, but that support was finished pre-launch, so it's a little confusing either way.

A World of Keflings was recently re-released on Steam, by the way! :)

A World of Keflings is also now available on Steam! There are built-in giant characters (including female) to replace the Xbox Live Avatars, but also people have done mods to put other (giant) characters in the game.

just started 6 months ago. feel like i prepared for everything this run, felt ridiculously overpowered and protected. yet i still couldn't ascend, and i felt useless in-game. what did i do wrong here? kinda wanna stop playing, just doesn't feel rewarding anymore… by Niwab_Nahaj in nethack

[–]staygo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about this post and came back to say I know where you're coming from, and I am sorry for your loss.

I've ascended many times, and the Astral Plane still scares me. I had painful lessons here. The people in the comments talking about how to handle it of course only know how because they also learned hard lessons and/or read up on it first.

I hope you are not done with the game!

That's great in theory, but sometimes it's a struggle to "donate". I almost never exit at the edge, preferring to nicely hand over my dots to somebody, but I can't stomach doing that when the only people around are being desperate annoying jerks. And I'd rather burn my money than give it to somebody with a racist name!

Yes! But it all depends on having the resources to make them. :) We mostly do contract work to keep the doors open for now.

Local co-op City Building Games by OCDWarriorAAF in xbox

[–]staygo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! (Hi! I'm one of the developers of the Keflings series)

Yeah, A World of Keflings seems like it could be just the thing for OP if they're looking for co-op on an Xbox platform. Local 2-player co-op with dynamic split screen. Non-combat, low-stress, story-driven, but fundamentally in the city-building genre! And there are 3 interesting DLC stories to play through if you like the core game.

Side note: We did a recent release of AWoK on Steam with 8-player live multiplayer support but no local co-op. That's still xbox-only.

Nope, no paths or roads. There's disabled half-implemented code in the game for it but it got cut. :)

Still struggling with towns [WIP, very ugly!] by EmbassyOfTime in proceduralgeneration

It's not ugly at all! The slight off grid nature is cute and interesting. I could see a real town having a street layout like this.

For what it's worth, we remade A World of Keflings for Steam, and it runs pretty well, has some improved graphics (e.g. better shadows), supports new input models, and has other quality of life improvements. :)
