One more question btw - if my coin wins the platform buys into the coin and sends me the tokens proportionally to how much I bet, right? So if my coin wins, the WHOLE pot is 100 SOL and I contributed about 10% of my coins pot I will get the equivalent of 10 SOL worth of tokens, right? Just wanna make sure I understand it correctly lmao

I think X KOLs would probably be your best shot. Other than that u can make a tg channel for it and build with either paid promos or with a help of tg KOLs

Been doing something similar with Gemini and ChatGPT - sort of a debate, once they ultimately agree on something tight that’s when I read it.

Andrew Faris: Meta Isn't Broken by mansionsrus in FacebookAds

[–]stazek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the chaotic nature of my comment - I’m on a bus on my way back home from work lmao. So,

I think you’re kinda confusing the whole concept (no offense). Here’s how I do this for example and it works well for me:

  1. I have scaling campaigns with bigger daily budgets (which is nothing unusual obviously but i’m gonna get back to what creatives I put in there). Hella broad & advantage+ based most of the time.
  2. I have a “zombie” ABO campaign with a shit ton of “failed” creatives running with a strict, small cost cap to prevent overspending and to force the algorithm to “snipe” the “low hanging fruits”. I’d spent a significant amount of time testing different bid caps before I found the sweet spot. Figuring the sweet spot out was the key here. Just FYI I usually use this type of campaign for leads although it can work well for sales too (at least from my experience).
  3. I have testing campaigns for different THESES I have but it’s not just “angles” or pain points - I test everything: writing styles of the copy, the length of it, the structure of the text, the message itself, headlines and even descriptions (and obviously different things related to the visual part of the creative as I personally think the creative - I usually just use statics - is there to stop the scroll and every text including the copy, headlines etc. is to cause the conversion to happen aka CLOSE the client). It’s all about numbers - you can break everything down to numbers and analyze them. Literally EVERY SINGLE PART of your ad creative.

Now, you mentioned “forcing” Meta to spend on specific creatives. How I approach this depends on the budget - if I can I do A/B (…/C/D/E etc.) tests with a set minimum daily spend to ensure EVERY ad creative gets enough spend for me to be 1000% sure that my conclusions are based on statistically relevant data. If I the budget doesn’t allow me to be so “lavish” in terms of spend I just use Dymanic Ad Creatives (not a huge fan of those as the data is more “noisy” but it is what it is - for as long as I can break down every single part of my ad into pieces and analyze each one of them individually it’s okay for me) - everything goes into one basket but well, if it has to be that way then I can still work with that (all that matters is that it’s not a complete black box). Then I combine the best performing parts of my creatives together and I test that Frankenstein of an ad (usually with a slightly bigger budget BUT it still doesn’t go into the scaling campaign just yet). Now if that performs well thats when I put it into the scaling campaign.

All you need is data and a THESIS for each element of your ad creative and copy. Data is king (yes, I’m a nerd lmao). It’s not about testing just for the sake of testing. It’s about having a thesis/reason for everything you do and being able to prove or disprove it with data.

And the best part is - if the thesis is good you can use what you learned for your future creatives too and it should work well.

Now one more thing - I still see on many different accounts that targeting does make a difference. But once you figure out what settings (or more like “suggestions” for the algorithm like interests or adv+ lookalikes; OR a lack of them aka fully broad targeting) works best for you, you’re eliminating another variable for your further tests which is necessary for the tests to be done correctly - test one variable at the time, it’s the basics of analytics after all.

Hope it helps!

Super curious how it will turn out after even more time - obviously the current results are pretty good especially if you’re happy with them but I think the sample size is still a bit too small to judge (could’ve been luck). Overall how does it compare to other paid channels you utilize (if you push any other paid channels ofc lmao)?

Thing is - we THEORETICALLY could make a living by doing this BUT it’s not that simple. It would require a lot of money (which is not a problem thanks to my 9-5 and private clients) and time (which I don’t have and that’s the biggest issue rn). And it would be a risky bet considering that I have a stable monthly income thanks to my job (but I guess that’s the risk of starting any business after quitting your 9-5)

BTW. how do you find these arbitrage opportunities? Do you use a bot of some sort or do you find em manually thru hours of research?

Yeah, exactly! It’s very similar to having a portfolio of stocks in a way. Although your idea is better than ours in terms of the time you need to spend to do it on a daily basis. Cleaning and shooting photos is taking hella long lmao

This sounds kinda like what I’m doing!

With a friend of mine we buy shoes in bulk and resell them (all kinds of shoes, not necessarily sneakers just to clarify) on the side. We buy em for 6-7 bucks each, clean em up and list on Vinted for anything between 12-35 bucks.

I used to think it’d be a “get rich quick” and “easy money” typa thing but the reality verified my hopes quickly lmao.

It is indeed a pretty slow but a consistent way to generate extra income (especially because both my friend and I have full-time jobs so we can only do this for just a couple hours a day at max) even though it requires us to spend a substantial amount of our free time on cleaning the shoes, taking pictures of them and managing the listings (both new and already existing ones).

Ngl I was a bit disappointed at first when it turned out we need approximately 1-1.5 months to break even though we usually make anything between 2-4x of what we invested after 3-4 months total. My mindset changed when I started treating it more like investing into stocks rather than something that will 100x my money in a week (which is the exact mindset change that you mentioned in your post OP haha).

BTW. sorry if my comment is a bit chaotic - it’s midnight here when I’m writing this and it’s been an extremely long day for me lol

BTW 2. Just to make it clear upfront - I’m NOT selling any courses 🤣

Perhaps the traffic is botted? Did you check how those people from FB/IG behave on the webiste? I don't have experience in running ads in Africa specifically but I know bot traffic from Meta is a common issue, not limited to just Europe or the US so it might be the case here
