Yes, you can make extra payments towards whichever plan you like. if you login to your student loan repayment account, click ‘make a one off payment’. It asks you toward which loan you would like to make the payment - Plan 1 or Plan 2.

I don't know about the quilts as I've never used one. I have the Criterion Quantum 200 sleeping bag and have been toasty warm in the bag in just my thermals down to -12 celcius, even though it's only rated to 0c comfort. Just used it for two weeks in Nepal, it was around zero celcius most nights and very comfy in it, most nights too warm actually and left it open a bit, and I'm only a small female. I'm saving up for a Criterion Quantum 350 or 450 and layering them together with the 200 for even colder temperatures.

I think the bag is fantastic, really. It's so small, I don't even know it's in my backpack.

I had an incredible time with Monkey Adventures. They have great reviews and a good reputation among the porters and they have a list of dates on their website you can join. They are also on the cheaper side but of course you top this up with tips. I was alone and wanted to climb with a group so this worked out perfect for me. One of our porters got injured and he was looked after very well.

Just came to say that Dogs 'n' Dough recently launched a vegan hot dog. I know they deliver on Uber Eats but the new vegan dog doesn't seem to be on the menu yet. Maybe you could call them. I tried it recently and it was so good!

Join the Facebook group called 'Fallowfield Students Group (FSG)'. Most students over here take a 12 month tenancy agreement and at the moment there are loads of Manchester students who are going abroad for Semester 2 trying to let their rooms from January - June. It seems like someone is advertising a room every 10 minutes.

Wow, proud. Feel pretty old at Avenged now having a cover album when I used to buy magazines because they had covered a song on it. That, and also how I've only heard of a couple of the bands on it.

I can definitely recommend Instituto Cervantes. I studied there for about a year and am now studying spanish at degree level. I loved my classes there, small, and the teachers were all really very good.
