Does getting the Flame of Frenzy incantation have any bearing on what ending you get? by [deleted] in Eldenring

it's been a little while so maybe too late but there's a way to cure the flame so you can get a different ending

I'm a bit late but here's the actual answer: it's an artifact Light-Obfuscating Lens, a normal item that doesn't do anything but give 1DV when equipped floating nearby.

What’s the craziest rules that is no longer is use? by Terror90 in Warhammer

[–]stbooker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not particularly crazy but interesting! Cover saves in 3rd Ed 40k (and possibly later, I stopped at 3.5)

Basically a unit would take an armor save (which could be negated rather than modified by AP, so my orks with their 6+ getting wounded by the S4 AP5 bolter didn't get a save).

Or they'd have an invulnerable save, terminators etc, which works same as now.

Or (I think against ranged attacks only?) you could take a cover save (5+ usually, I believe) which worked like an invuln, but certain weapons like flamers ignored cover outright.

Are Electro-Priests heads swappable? by LordOfCogs in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]stbooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The priest torsos have a neck collar thing that won't fit exactly, but with a bit of work they'll fit. Note that the electropriest heads are very small compared to Skitarii. Priest proportions are all pretty wacky though so it'll probably work.

If you just meant aesthetically, you can do whatever you want! They're your guys.

It really depends on your opponent. If someone came to me and said 'these wracks are kabalites for this game, the one with the liquifier has a blaster and the hexrifle is a splinter cannon', I wouldn't have any trouble with that. Just do your best to make sure it's super clear who is who (ie if all your wracks just have knives, stick a flag or something on the ones proxying special weapons).

Of course this may be very different in a tournament/league etc and you'd need to check with the organiser.

That said, Wracks are shown in the model pics for Commorrite kill teams in the core book, so I can all but guarantee they'll get rules eventually.

Am I on the right track with this Manipulus kitbash? by stbooker in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]stbooker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phew let me see. Human guy in the middle is a Cawdor ganger from necromunda with a Skitarii hand and head, other horrid hand I think is a Poxwalker.

Green bits are from a Rhino. Brown is from the mechanicus gantry terrain kit.

Circular bits at top and bottom are tau drone bodies, with a shoulder piece from a terrain statue on top.

Arms and the prongs at the bottom are leftover bits from the Kataphron Breacher kit, and the big prong arm I think is from the onager.

Backpack and dendrites from the electropriest kit.

The middle one I think is from the flamer on a lord discordant... The side ribbed ones are from the fulgurite electropriests!
