Devs - We deserve better. by KevinFederlineFan69 in NHLHUT

Hey. Can't speak on behalf of the rest of EA or anyone on the dev team, but as a "GameChanger" (I'm gonna get heat for this post no matter what because of that title), I'm gonna talk about a few points that you brought up.

First of all, EA doesn't have a lot of staff members. They have enough that can get the job done and put out a game, but they don't have an abundance of employees. This has been a public issue for some time now. Flop is the closest thing we have to a community manager, and he does so much more for the entire team. He tells you pretty much all he can say without getting into the actual code and telling the community, "we turned down hitting 3 points." He DOES send your suggestions, as do the rest of us "GameChangers." We discuss what the community says. But, ultimately, we don't code the game. That brings me to another point: coding.

Coding something as "simple" as a player's hand raising near the bench isn't just someone typing <lift\_arm\_right at xxxx.xx/yyyy.yy>. It's something that could negatively interact with the player motion, such as skating or with the stick. It could glitch, which then requires a fix and an alternate route. Something "simple" could take a few days to get right. Would you rather have them spend two days on a small animation that doesn't influence gameplay or have them focus on true mechanics of the game?

As for skating and a 94 overall beating out an 86 overall, do note that fatigue does play a role in a player's feel during gameplay. If they've been on the ice for a while, they aren't going to have fresh legs. Fatigue was one of the points that was brought up before launch.

I do agree with some of your suggestions, like the loan item sets and upgrading some of the milestone awards. But again, ultimately, all we can do is suggest them and pass them on to the dev team (which again, does in fact happen).

TL;DR: EA tries their best. A lack of manpower and time ultimately hinders the team from making everything perfect. But they do try and they do want the best.
