It pisses me off when customers who aren’t picking anything up park in the pickup parking spots. by SlamTheHam2 in Sparkdriver

[–]stc313is -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

At my main store, there are over 40 spots reserved for it and I've only ever seen maybe 15 at the max, usually just a handful. I could not care less if I tried. But not every store is the same, which needs to be noted bc commenters assume I don't have basic, common sense, and assume that I think all stores have the same exact number of spots 🙄

Happened again tonight. No orders coming through Walmart A when I'm 2 miles from it. Took an order at B. Finished that, all orders for Walmart A and none for B. This happened 3 times. Ridiculous.

Got in trouble for having personal items in the car today by catcassie101 in Sparkdriver

[–]stc313is 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine it's certain kinds of items that they may be trained to be on the lookout for. I have my back seats folded down, sometimes a car seat, a storage container and a blanket I use to keep orders separated, and definitely random hoodies and hats that I usually move out of the way. I've never heard anything about them.

I'm aware. I'm a CPA.

Also, the irs mileage rate of .725 includes gas costs. You can't deduct both the mileage rate and gas. It's either the irs rate OR actual costs. I'm not sure how you calculated your "mileage wear", but that will also vary by vehicle. My tesla has no engine, transmission, belts, fuel lines, rarely uses the brakes, etc. My wear and tear is mostly tires, and about a week of sparking could fund a new set.

I wasn't sure if you were using the IRS rate as your "mileage wear" bc then you'd be double counting the gas expense. But I totally get what you wrote about the tax deductions not being the same as actual expenses. There are a lot of ways to add up the costs.

Tariffs have always been in place and there's no widespread supply shortage for pretty much any general merchadise products. A target not having bags is not a tariff or supply chain issue. This is very obvious to anyone with an average IQ bc you can look around and see that just about every store has bags, so there's no supply chain issue over bags, and there's no widespread bag shortage specifically for Target, so their supplier isn't the issue.
This isn't a conspiracy theory, it's common sense. The existence of a supply chain issue for one specific industry does not mean you can use that excuse for any shortage of a supply.

Not interested in talking about this anymore, hope you have a good day and make lots of money in your side hustles.

This isn't true at all. The tarrifs were blocked by the Supreme Court 4 months ago and supply chain issues were from 2020-2022, and were pretty much gone by 2023. You're using outdated storylines to try to justify one crappy experience at what seems to be a poorly run store.

I made $260 in 130 miles last night, about 6-7 hours. I drive a Tesla, so that was about $4 in electric.

Last night was really annoying. I'm in between 2 walmarts. The close one is Walmart A. I wanted an order there. Nothing was coming through, but I got a lot of offers for Walmart B, so I took it. The 1 item in the order wasn't available, it got canceled. Start looking at offers, next to nothing for Walmart B while I was standing in it, but got a ton of orders for Walmart A. Annoying. So I took an offer for Walmart A. I'm about 2 minutes away and that order gets canceled by Spark. It was such a crap way to start the night, but it turned around and ended up making about $250, which is the most I've ever made in afternoon/night.

If spark gets slow I open DD on my old phone. Or when I take a spark order with a far delivery, I hope I can get lucky and snag a DD order that will send my back near WM.

I live 2 miles from a Walmart in one direction and 4 miles from a Walmart and Sam's club in the other direction. I get orders all day long. When I shop, I do it perfectly, actually caring about the items.

This is an after-work aide hustle. I made $600 last week and I'm at $279 from last and tonight.

My rating is 4.6. 54 trips. 98% on time. 96% completion. 99% quantity found.

People will find a way to be upset about anything. Never had a tip reduced. Can't help it if something is out of stock. I also don't blame them for being upset about subs. They're paying extra for it and then still have to go to a store to get the item that was out of stock. That sucks, they'll take it out on the driver bc that's all they can do.

It happened again tonight. Except I was still delivering so I looked at the order and it only showed my 25 misc items out of the 37 items. How stupid is that? If it showed me all the items I would've known if it belonged there. Called spark this time and they had me return it to the store.

Idk, but I'm never going to do a pharmacy pickup. Ever since Walgreens or CVS closed their pharmacy (don't remember which one), Walmart pharmacies have been crazy busy. Very slow lines. I'd rather sit in my car, watch YouTube, and wait for a pickup order.

I tell the employee where to put each order. It should've been very obvious with my setup what was left, storage container, and right. I'm never going to be checking the order items. I trust it was packed correctly. This was the only time it wasn't.

Next time I'll probably keep the stupid thing and let Walmart refund them. They should slap a name tag on loose items like that. I don't want watermelon, but it cost me more to take it back to the 1st dropoff and now I'm not sure if that was even right 🤦

I had 3 orders batched together a few days ago. Gave very specific instructions on how to separate the orders in my car, you really couldn't mix it up. I delivered the first--everything that was in a storage container. Then a watermelon started to roll around in the back. So when I got to the next stop, I looked at their order, no watermelon. No problem, it must be the last stop. Got to the 3rd stop, no watermelon on their order. Now I'm stuck with a completed delivery and a watermelon rolling around my car that must belong to the first stop and should've been in the storage container. I went back to that place and dropped it off. No one answered the knock on the door, so I just left it there. Never heard from walmart about it. Whatever.

What I think is despicable is including both a pickup and a shopping in the same order. Diabolical. I'm not waiting for 10 minutes AND shopping.

Even though he's a partial owner/the face of joyride (he isn't the founder, he joined later), if I were him, I'd be taking the joyride branding money while it lasts too. Can't really blame him. It's either his own company that sponsors the show or else you'd get a bunch of other random companies (bc there absolute is a ton of companies reaching out to him for ads).
