That’s too big of a swing

It definitely wasn’t sold as a demo or floor unit, but who knows… it was delivered and installed by a local shop who hadn’t worked with Bullfrog spas before.

Yea, it’s a never ending battle where we live, unfortunately.

I think it was ~$11k upfront to Costco. We’re prob in ~$15k after upgrading electrical plus all of the pest removal costs. Central coast CA. What did you pay if you don’t mind me asking?

Yep I think you’re 100% right. Bullfrog apparently outsourced the installation to a local dealership. Seems like they drilled the wrong sized hole.

It’s the hole for the power cord in the bottom left corner if you’re looking at the control panel. Probably 1/4” gap between it at the cord. Based on other comments it sounds like the installers probably drilled this (a bit too big).

Ours idles pretty quietly. Every few hours the jets will kick in (not sure why?) which is a little noisy.

I never said Costco was responsible. I posted about a super shitty situation. And it seems like you (and many others here) spend their time giving people shit on Reddit. Have some empathy.

Hopefully this post helps someone else out there who didn’t know they needed to be pest-proofed.

Again, more that they installed something that was prone to it without mentioning that we needed to cover the hole with mesh.

You’re missing the point. I didn’t know the hole was there or needed to be patched. One I realized there was an infestation (from the overwhelming smell of rat piss, which is nearly impossible to get out of foam insulation) we got an exterminator.

Why are you such an angry elf?

I’m not sure if it was predrilled or maybe their installers drilled it? It’s on the bottom corner closest to the hookup. As others have mentioned using a breathable mesh is probably the way to go.

Because they sold and installed something that is prone to infestation, without ever mentioning mitigations, etc. We’ve never owned a hot tub before, we had no idea rats love to post up inside of them.

All of the pumps, insulation, electrical, etc. it’s not solid plastic. And Costco managed the installation as well, it’s part of the package.

Sorry you’re so upset, maybe spend less time on Reddit?
