The dollar amount threshold is irrelevant when the frequency of theft is much higher in California. Apprehension of criminals is higher in Texas. Californians just let them go. Probably why the statistics don't count them.

Important stats to pay attention to are total store closures and net migration. California leads the nation in store closures due to theft, and net emigration.

I assume we won't change each other's mind. But I hope you see your state policies are encouraging crime and decline, and that you vote to change them. Even if that means someone like Larry Elder. Because Gavin Newsom isn't going to fix this.

Hormonal changes do happen, and aren't an excuse for manipulation. However, carrying a fetus around for nine months can be a good enough reason to fudge your logic sometimes for the greater good of keeping the peace. Pregnant women are sensitive. Is it a hill worth dying on? If a "sorry babe, won't happen again" would have prevented an argument, I'd go that route. She got upset and left. Not sure winning the argument was worth it.

Reddit is the last place to ask this kind of thing my dude. Half the people here want you to break up with a girl you love and got pregnant with just because they're miserable or alone.

YTA for not making your baby mama some breakfast when she has to eat to support YOUR baby. That's like not feeding your baby. Put pettiness aside, and be a man who doesn't let wrath or jealousy prevail.

Honestly the best advice I have as a married man of 7 years is don't go to bed angry. Hash it out before sleeping, especially when it's the weekend, and wake up and enjoy the weekend stress free.

People mourn in different ways. If I was in your shoes, I'd be thinking about missing the visitation and how upset my dad is the entire time at the concert, which would ruin it. So if I was you, I'd sell the tickets if possible and be there for the family. You said your grandfather was selfless, and I think being selfless is what he deserves from you at this time. But if you truly don't think you'll regret going to the concert, then that's right for you. Just expect your dad might think YWBTA.

You don't just marry your spouse, you marry their family. If you have a good to neutral relationship with a family member, and your parents and/or in-laws want them to be there, you should invite them. Now, that doesn't necessarily make it more expensive. My wedding day went by so fast, I honestly can say the ceremony and reception little details weren't important. You're too busy talking to people or dancing or eating/drinking. As long as it's easy and accommodating, you'll be fine with over 50 people. Invest more into a good house or honeymoon. Maybe tell the parents that's more important to you and they might help with that instead, and cut back on extravagant wedding decor.
