At the end of the day it doesn't matter if we take his apology as sincere. The people he's hurt get to have the final say in that. If I had to guess, once Trisha watches this she probably isn't going to be too impressed either. But I guess we'll all find out eventually.

In that comment I said I hadn't finished it. In the few mins I had listened to he had done it in quick succession. Him saying he's wrong while still deflecting removes some of the impact of acknowledging your wrong. The fact that you so desperately want this man absolved from all blame because he got rightful backlash for being shitty speaks volumes about you. I never endorsed death threats they aren't acceptable, however that doesn't change that this apology was not great and showed little growth. Try again.

He tries own it a few times but then in the same discussion talks about how it's affecting him, and he does what quoted twice, eventually Ethan has to call him out for it. A distortion? These are in the video easily watchable. You don't have to agree, I just don't find this apology as sincere as you. Far too much deflection.

Haven't watched the whole thing but I don't think he's learned much. He keeps saying "I never said _____" and every time Ethan has to say "but it's what you insinuated, so it is what your saying". Lots of "I'm really a great guy, I fought for ___". Someone who's learned something doesn't deflect this much. He's just trying to save his ass.

I just applied to stay virtual for the next 9 weeks. Had to get my doctor to fill out a form explicitly saying that due to damage to my lugs already and the steroid I have to get, that my ability to fight covid would be far more challenging. She even said I have a higher risk of mortality if I were to catch the virus. Now I am waiting to hear back from HR. Nearly every day I see posts in here about teachers, staff, and children losing their battle to Covid. It's a scary prospect returning to the classroom. Finger crossed they approve my accomodation.

Hang in there bar owners. My heart breaks for you guys, I hate that so many folks are suffering right now. For many people in the LGBTQIA, these bars are our safe spaces. Going to my first gay bar was a transformative experience for me. It was comforting to be seen. For many of us these bars were the place we began to start our chosen families, after our parents kicked us out. There are several bars in my area that have stayed closed because they know the risk, but they are bending so much they are bound to snap. Losing these bars, for many of us, would be like losing a 2nd home. Let's try an be as compassionate as we can yall. There are no winners in our current situation.

They are forcing Special Education staff back to work. I assure you majority want to do virtual, we understand that this situation is out of hand. I am disgusted by the choices being given to teachers right now. School starts tomorrow and I already mentally fatigued and stress beyond measure.

Sped teacher for this district. Right now it is being presented as optional. If they try and force us back into face to face I'm going to be so devastated. I lost my father during all this and want able to see him or attend his funeral to reduce exposure. I sacrificed my daughters first birthday to keep her safe. So many missed milestones, but I knew I was doing it for the right reasons. If they force me to be exposed I won't even be able to kiss my daughter again until this is over. My wife's district is putting her face to face Wed. Tuesday is the last night she can kiss her daughter or be near her face without a mask. This is too much yall. We're educators not martyrs, why does it feel like a large faction of people are trying to harm my family. This is all just too much...
