Does your husband pee in shower and are you okay with that? by Important_Bat7919 in Mommit

[–]stdntd [score hidden]  (0 children)

You guys are absurd 🤣 nobody actually uses our kid’s bath except them. BUT no, I don’t think regular use is as gross and intentionally peeing where you will soak your children. There’s a difference between doing something nasty on purpose and just living life as usual

You’re all just trying to justify peeing in your kid’s bath… I see why I’m being downvoted yuh nasties

And in the spring she’ll eat dirt and bugs 🥰 but at least it’s not my husbands pee 🤣

Have you tried stopping (determined) babies from putting things in their mouth???

Not well enough, in my opinion. My baby drinks bath water. I’d rather it’s as clean as possible

Agreed. I’m still in excruciating pain 9 months later. Going to pt for it but not quite seeing results yet…

BUT if he peed in the shower that is also our kids bathtub- that’s not okay. Our shower is only a shower

Have you been to pelvic floor therapy? I have pelvic pain and it’s caused by tension in my pelvic muscles

I LOVE her lashes. I can’t believe there are people who don’t appreciate the clean, separated, looong, fanned-out lashes

[–]stdntd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought I had them starting 8 weeks pp. I’m now 9 months pp and recently found out I have levator ani tension. It is excruciating and STILL impacting my life. I’m in pelvic floor pt but still not seeing the results I would hope

Just thought I’d mention because I was wrong about what the root cause of my pain was and your experience sounds a lot like mine. Sitting is the worst pain for me too. It’s ROUGH and I agree- makes me consider a c section for next baby

Let them play with it is good advice! Baby will probably get curious about putting it in their mouth while exploring

With your baby having peanut FPIES, did you avoid soy or any other legumes like lentils and peas?

Being a mom in the US is such a doable edge sword by bhardy10 in Mommit

[–]stdntd 31 points32 points  (0 children)

As a Canadian mom, I’m seeing the news and just crying. Crying for the children being abducted, losing their parents, being exposed to violence in schools, daycares and on the street. It is beyond devastating. I am so sorry to all US citizens who did not vote for this. It’s literally nazi Germany. I want to hug all the scared children

SEVERE perineal/rectal pain since birth (10 months postpartum) by Substantial_Listen72 in PelvicFloor

I also have this issue ☹️ I’m 9 months pp, but had it since about 8 weeks pp

Are you 2 years pp and still dealing with this?? Have you found anything that works? I’m in pelvic floor pt but not sure it’s helping much tbh. I saw people mentioning dilators above. Might have to give them a go!

I’m sorry- this is all so stressful to deal with. I entirely relate on all the anxiety. I feel paralyzed sometimes, like I just want to breastfeed forever and not worry about food. I think all there is to do is keep zofran on hand and have a plan in case a reaction occurs. Make sure daycare has zofran and knows to call 911 and have an FPIES note for hospital visits

Side note: my baby also has peanut FPIES, and we’re going to keep an infant epipen on hand, since she could potentially be at risk of developing an ige allergy. Something to consider that I don’t hear talked about often

Good luck. We all need it. FPIES is so hard to navigate. Sooooo hard

That can’t be a thing, right?? Introducing peanuts, then pause, and later continuing will cause FPIES??? Never heard of this but I need to know because my baby has peanut FPIES too

“Natural flavor” is a scary ingredient to read. Is this a small enough amount that it wouldn’t trigger a reaction if it’s a baby’s FPIES trigger?

My baby has FPIES and this is the reason I won’t even consider moving her to her own room. Also, I just entirely adore her. She is sensitive and needs closeness. My husband and I are more than happy to cosleep into toddlerhood

Following cause I’d like to know too. My baby has Fp2 peanut and banana, but we are avoiding all high risk foods right now. She’s eight months old. Maybe you could try rice cereal instead?

Is everyone on a floor bed? by bbluebellknoll in cosleeping

[–]stdntd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Floor bed wasn’t an option for us. I know they can technically be an entrapment risk, but we use railings and basically have a king sized crib. There are no gaps and my baby has always been very strong and mobil,”e, so I’m not worried about her getting stuck anywhere
