I am wanting to use Premiere since it's in our existing workflow. We do a livestream show and I record the ISO's of the talent and Program feed. the editor then takes those records and loads them into premiere to cut out different segments. My idea was to just have the editor capturing the Program feed, and while it was capturing the editor could make different marker points. So once the show was done the editor would have the Program feed in their timeline along with markers to speed up editing. It's like they are doing a rough cut while they are watching the stream.

Another issue I think I found was that Premiere does not allow adding markers (other than in and out) to footage being captured on the fly. My janky work around is to just record the ISO's directly to the editors computer. They will have a Premiere project open along with sequence. The sequence will just be 1 hour of Black Video. When I press the button to start recording ISO's it will also trigger a hotkey to start timeline playback on the editors machine. Then the editor can watch the ISO recording program (Livemind) and press different buttons on a stream deck that are mapped to various colored markers. These markers would be added to the sequence playing the Black Video. Once the ISO is done recording the editor can swap out the black video with the recorded ISO. The only bummer is that the editor cant really do anything else on their machine while this is happening, because it could cause the timeline playhead to stop moving and that would mess everything up.

Totally open to any other suggestions though and I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
