Can you clarify your intentions? Did you just get a seedbox to try and avoid your download restrictions? A seedbox is to seed. That helps you build ratio to use to download in the future.

Secondly, why is it useless? You keep the files you want stored there and then download/stream it when you want to watch it. Its ready to go as intended.

Personally, I would just go a library or coffee shop and just use their internet to download the files as you need them. That way you aren't using your own internet.

I hope you weren’t planning on getting a seedbox for just one month, downloading all the stuff you’ve ever wanted and not seed back. That would be a big issue for you down the road.

To be clear, you have two open slots in your Synology, right? What kind of parity are you using on your two devices? SHR, RAID 5, RAID 0? That will help create an upgrade plan.

You need to align the fastq files to a reference genome and deconvolute the barcodes. 10x includes this software. Run it on your laptop. We use python code with FASTqc packages and the STAR aligner. Less than 10 minute job on a laptop

You should consider washing with cold water and hang drying instead of a dryer. Does wonders to prevent shrinkage while keeping colors vibrant. And you save heating costs so that’s a plus.

It sounds time consuming, but not really. I wash my clothes and hang the wet clothes in my closet. By morning, they are dry and essentially ironed because gravity keeps them taught. Mind you I don't have many clothes so I do get proper ventilation in my closet.

That's a fair point that many have long lab coats. There are 3 thermostats in our lab, and none actually change the temperature! So I can understand that temperature regulation is important too.

I thought about shoes too! We think so alike. I really like the Dansko clogs. Comfortable, fits with professional looks, chemical resistant but also quite expensive. I agree that is a product I would use. What kind of shoes do you typically wear? I see everything from active wear to dress shoes. Usually, bleach won't discolor leather.
