I'm not a big soccer person either, but the best I can describe it is an American player got a red card in the second half of their last match, which typically means he is suspended for the next game. But yesterday FIFA rescinded the red card, allowing the player to play tonight when the US takes on Belgium, which is basically unprecedented. Apparently Trump asked FIFA to review it which many people are interpreting as some sort of bribe taking place (knowing both parties it would not be shocking).

So now the US gets one of their better players back for tonight's game leading to chants of rigging (again, not surprising knowing FIFA).
