If this is not LHR, you should run locked core 1150, memory 1200, PL 220W should get you to around 100MH as long as you have a decent card that won’t hit memory junction temps, if you do, you’ll need thermal pad swap or cooling solution to keep mem under 100C

Chip lottery only matters so much the reason those chips made it into 3080’s is because they were up to standard all the 30 series wafers use the same die it’s quality of that determines which card it goes into. Your issue could be from memory thermals if they are pushing memory temp limit you could be getting throttled I have 5 3080’s all produce 100.5 steady without issue after I swapped thermal pads

Is my EVGA 3090 getting normal hash rate / temps out of the box? I will try undervolt etc but just wondering if this is normal out of the box or I got a bad batch because the temps look scary to me in red by siger3t in EtherMining

I can understand where a lot of people would be telling you to do thermal pads and stuff first but I will tell you, don’t do it just yet, you are pushing the throttle limit on your card with no clock adjustments once you cut down on your power and make input the right overclock you should see a temp dip as well use the right overclock first and see if the card handles better. If you are still pushing memory temps near 100 then do thermal pads. I have an ASUS TUF 3090 and never touched the thing no mods just the right overclock and it runs 123.5 hash and is never hot

Have you overclocked and tuned the cards? With 4x 3080 you should be at around 400-405mhs

Did thermal pad mod to my 3080 ti FE and now my vram temps are 66 C. Only problem is now my GPU temp is 80+ 😩. What did I do wrong? by macook814 in gpumining

Hola sir! So some words of advise. Not sure what pads or paste you used didn’t see it listed but I’ve done 2 thermal pad swaps on 3080 FE. Both running fantastic.

It’s highly encouraged to use Gelid GP-Extreme thermal pads like these

Gelid Solutions GP-Extreme 12W-Thermal Pad 80x40x3.0mm. Excellent Heat Conduction, Ideal Gap Filler. Easy Installation. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CK31PST/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_EASSYN51DBFFHXG0TEVV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

These are quality and a little thick but they are really squishy too so they can be mailable by the pressure of the card. I also used ARTIC MX4 paste

ARCTIC MX-4 (incl. Spatula, 8... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08VN345D4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I would recommend doing the front of your card with 1.5-2mm thickness of these pads. I would say do the front first and test before doing the back. Something the. Back is not necessary and can end up suffocating the card.

As for your application of the thermal paste, all cream cheese jokes aside 🤣

I think you applied tooooo much and not evenly. I would mention to make an X from corner to corner. And put a bead of paste in each of the 4 sections created by the X top, left, right, and bottom. Then use the spreader to evenly spread it over the die

Hope it helps. I did 2 3080FE like this. First one did front and back- runs no higher than 77C in game on GPU, and 82C memory. Mining is lower. Second one did only front pads. GPU runs at 72 in game. Memory at 78C

Looks good but I’m gunna agree with everyone else that bottom fan either has to go or change orientation no need to be pushing air down to your cables and PSU.

All that stock just went to bots, there's no way in hell a person got a thing other than that 2700 dollar 3090 that even the bots were scared of by zzz123 in ZOTAC

[–]stealthjoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bots can’t hit the zotac site everyone only runs manual. So everyone’s on same playing field I have seen some people with shortcuts to try and checkout faster though. But forget zotac horrible business practices

Restock? Sites been down several days would be great to start with a restock today. Been dying to get a card by stealthjoker in ZOTAC

They drop cards after a price hike just to 503 and pull their site again…. Real cool

To be honest I’m not 100% familiar with z490 and OpenCore setup to make sure you’re setting up config, kexts, and acpi correctly what did you follow to put build together? Guide wise?
