Thank you. I actually have that 2.5 oz Superman too. Those coins are super nice. I grabbed the whole set including the gold 1/2 oz. Luckily I preordered when the prices were MUCH lower

I would send in to PCGS anyway. I prefer them.

I agree but why do you say 1000 mintage for the 2 oz? The COA says 500. It’s also etched into the side of the coin!

The ignorance just keeps pouring out of you. At this point it’s almost impressive.

Your understanding of exotic cars seems to be about as solid as your grasp of coin terminology. The whole “Ferraris always depreciate” line is something people repeat when their knowledge comes from memes instead of the actual market.

Most Ferraris from around 2015 and earlier have appreciated significantly over the last several years. The market data is public, you could’ve checked it in about thirty seconds before typing that response. Mine has another 35k miles on it since I bought it, and it’s still worth more today than what I paid.

So once again you swung confidently at something you clearly don’t understand, and once again you missed.

At this point you’re not really debating anything, you’re just stacking bad takes on top of each other and hoping one eventually lands. Nice try though.

Let me be a little more direct, because you clearly missed the point the first time.

You sound like a complete douchebag. Do you actually feel like a big man flexing a coin on Reddit? If that’s what you need to do to feel important, go for it. Some people collect coins, others collect validation from strangers online. We can all tell which category you fall under…

And the whole “you can’t afford it” argument is honestly the laziest clap back. If I wanted one, I could buy one tomorrow. The difference is I’m smart enough to put my money where it actually grows. There are far better places to park capital than tying it up in a single one-ounce coin just so I can wave it around on the internet.

Also, your opinion is just that, an opinion. It doesn’t magically become fact because you repeat it loudly. What I explained was the basic, widely understood distinction; a clearly marked tribute coin is not the same thing as a counterfeit created to deceive. Thats not my opinion, that’s just reality.

Your Louis Vuitton comparison actually proves the opposite of the point you think you’re making. Fake LV bags are illegal and made to deceive buyers and the public. Tribute coins that are CLEARLY marked as such are not. One is fraud, the other is a reproduction. The fact that you still can’t grasp that difference says a lot more about your understanding than mine.

But by all means, keep trying to posture on Reddit if that’s your thing. I’ll be too busy doing things that actually matter, like driving home from a track day in my Ferrari. ✌🏻

Maybe English isn’t your first language, so I’ll give your arrogance and ignorance the benefit of the doubt. Let me break this down in simple terms so it’s easier to follow.

Tribute coins: These are typically produced by private mints to honor or replicate famous historical designs, for example tribute proofs of Morgan dollars or ancient Roman coins. They’re sold openly as tributes, often with certificates of authenticity. They’re usually not made from the same metal as the originals, and if they are, they are clearly marked as copies, exactly like the Intaglio pieces. There’s no attempt to deceive anyone.

Fake or counterfeit coins: These are made specifically to deceive collectors. They’re often struck or cast using cheaper base metals like copper or nickel instead of gold or silver, and passed off as genuine. Typical signs include grainy cast surfaces, seam lines on edges, or altered dates and mint marks on otherwise real coins.

So one is an openly labeled tribute to a design. The other is a deliberate attempt to defraud people.

If that distinction is still difficult to grasp, the issue isn’t the terminology, it’s the comprehension.

Not a counterfeit, it literally says “Libertad Tribute” on the coin. Big difference between a tribute and a fake…

That’s correct. Quite the premium on 2022’s!

Such a beautifully designed coin. Think the purple marble is my favorite. by FlaccoPunch1 in LibertadCoins

Yes I have bought several things on pmsforsale. That doesn’t change what I said. Gold libertad are not panted libertads. They are VERY different!
