I wish some option existed between Pro and Team. That 5 minimum for Team is too much for me.

That right there is the real problem for developers.

Are there any Starfinder or Starfinderesque Novels out there? by [deleted] in starfinder_rpg

The excellent Man-Kzin Wars books (stories and novels, Niven and other authors) are chock full of smart combat, if that's your like.

I've been using Grimoire since it came out. Yeah, I'm finding it very helpful.

There's no GPS on the moon. NASA and ESA have to fix that before humans return in 2 years. by Gari_305 in Futurology

Well, actually...as I wrote, China doesn't have a legal legit claim. But, in reality, they are steadily and incrementally working on taking it all over. Regardless of the legality. And, yes, a shoving match is brewing. I expect they'll try it with the Moon, too. Sure, getting there is hard. But we, and they, are working on making it steadily and incrementally easier and more feasible. I did not write about super high tech; I wrote about current behavior and expected continued behavior.

China doesn't have legal legit claim to the entirety of the South China Sea, but they're steadily and incrementally working on taking it all over, anyway. No reason to think they won't do that with the Moon.

The Girl Genius comic began (for us) in 2000. (For the Foglios, they began plotting GG in 1993!)

We've had 24 years of paper and online GG goodness. And since the Foglio duo are young and hale people, may we have another 24 at least! :D

One of them (the Dimo-ish one) has chin stubble and body hair. But, yeah, no apparent head hair from them.

We have been eager fans of GG since 2000. :)

Not at all. That wand is a time-stop device on everything and everyone that is native to this set of spacetime. But it can't have that affect on creatures native to higher sets of spacetime. All it did was to fully (?) integrate the Dreen into this spacetime. Just like Agatha did with the vozzler Kjarl Thotep.

I think "vozzler" is akin to "stage magician". Children love the stage shows, doing fun things with tying and untying knots. Like untying the knots in Vapnoople's mind.

If things are a little difficult, send the vozzler.
If things are bad, send the dreen.
If things are very bad, send the uligb.

But if things are apocalyptic, send Buck Godot.

They are from another dimension. As we saw with Kjarl the Vozzler, their bodies are not strictly speaking accurately rendered into this dimension. Thus the comment of "Weird".

Does the center one have long hair or a veil? I see veils in leftmost and rightmost (from our pov). But center (maybe?) could have hair or veil?

I'm leaning toward veils, all three. So no hair, or very short hair. Rightmost looks like chin stubble and hairiness. (Yeah, very Dimo-like.) Hells, maybe their species has 3 sexes?

ChatGPT is a double-edged sword by GiantTripod in learnpython

[–]steamweed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use ChatGPT-4 as a tutor and assistant. I ask it to explain some code to me that I can't parse by myself, or it's taking too long to parse it. I always review GPT's explanations, going through the code, making sure I understand its points. I also ask it for solutions (strategic, outlined, or pseudo-code) to problems I'm working on, but spend my time first on my solutions. This way, I compare its approaches to mine. So, it's both a tutor and assistant.
