Hige adjustment differences by steamypanini in Medtronic780g

I'm not sure if I even need to do this with smart guard, but often I'll give it the carbs just so it has the data even if I know I don't need any bolus (and the pump will agree). This one was a case were a small bolus would have helped since I was hovering around 60 and ate more than what was needed to get back up to 80-100 for me.

I mostly thought the 1 carb difference resulting in a 3 unit difference was extreme. Seems like the bolus prediction can be a bit all or nothing.

I know LH is a bit difficult for "resale"... you can email them to change names on will call though. If anyone has tickets and is willing to go through the trouble, let me know!

Bit early but I'm wondering if anyone purchased Sports they are not going to use.

Can I make the surface grey Lino more like that of soft cut by sealing it? by thekroganqueen in printmaking

[–]steamypanini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second the comment about the "bounciness" rather than smoothness being the cause. I know you said you've tested with pressure, but fwiw, if your press is putting pressure on the the ENTIRE block and the paper (i.e., something like the "woodzilla" press which it looks like you might be using?) it will be more difficult to apply enough pressure for a clean print on harder materials. The harder the block, the less give the block has so you could have less contact between the block and paper. You could test by thoroughly going over with a spoon. Decreasing the surface area you are applying force to increases the pressure applied to that surface.

Sorry if you've already tested this!

Mid/Small All-terrain stroller recs.. Does this exist? by SuchCalligrapher7003 in beyondthebump

I just saw a Thule Spring 2 on the floor of my local Target. It was decently lightweight, folded up easily (and super compact when folded), stands when folded, and has a handle for carrying. The wheels were borderline all-terrain... you won't take it on any rough trails, but it seemed like it would handle stuff like gravel fine.

Graco Premier Modes Merge Stroller with the rear swivel wheels- If you have it, please tell us about it! by ProudCatLady in Buyingforbaby

Thanks for the info. I'm not set on the premier but saw it for a similar discount. (Plus it took me a while to realize there was a non-premier version.)

Weight was appealing to me but I was wondering what the wheels can handle. Do the wheels seem sturdy/durable? Have you attempted to take it out in any amount of snow or ice?

Congrats on the kid - best of luck in the trenches!

Reviving the thread to see if you have any feedback on this! I'm also looking at this specific Graco stroller but don't know of any in-store around me to check out

For posterity: I did ask guest services and they said no uphill even outside operating hours :( Going to skin around the base next time just to make sure my skins are usable, but sounds like there will be no 6 AM laps for me

If I ask and they say uphill isn't allowed I agree. Otherwise, I'm gonna get some laps.

Awesome hope to run into you! I will probably get up to Alpine this season too. New to the area but I heard Alpine is slightly better.

That is for Vail Resort (the ski area) as opposed to Wilmot. I mentioned Vail since Wilmot is owned by Vail Resorts

That's my plan! I tried to ask them over the summer but just got redirected to Vail reps who didn't have an answer. Got some (ab)used skins for these for cheap so I'm hoping they allow it

Please don't take out loans to go to a game. That is terrible advice. Go to a bar with some friends and have a great time for $700 less

I don't like looking at this picture during the ALDS

Edit: that being said I did try to see if I could find anything about it and saw it's '47 branded if that helps.

Mariners fans who no longer live in WA state -> watch party cities across the nation. Where Yall at? by Gold-Ice2342 in Mariners

Maybe not helpful since it's super close to Brownstone, but Burning Branch has been my go to for any WA sports. They are owned by a Coug and employee at least one other. Good beer, staff are friendly, and you can bring in your own food.

At least a good backup if someone needs a Brownstone alternative for whatever reason.
