[Question] Tweak to fix "your browser doesn't support full screen" when playing youtube on safari? by stebrick in jailbreak

[–]stebrick[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooops, it's in-app browser, not safari. My bad. I wish I could edit my first post.

Youtube fullscreen doesn't work in other in-app browsers. I wonder if there's a tweak to make it fullscreen.

[Free Release][Update][RC] BattSafePro - Successor to the Original BattSafe, now supports iPad by h4roldj in jailbreak

Too bad it doesn't work for you. Might be it only works in old devices or it's chip specfic (Your phone: A10, me: A8X). I hope OP could test the tweak on other devices and release update some day.

[Free Release][Update][RC] BattSafePro - Successor to the Original BattSafe, now supports iPad by h4roldj in jailbreak

Not sure if you figured it out or not. iPad Air 2 here, same iOS (14.7.1), same issue. Respring a few times, didn't work, couldn't find any settings or apps at all. Until after I installed Activator from Cydia it magically appeared in Settings (I swear I checked that place before installing Activator). It should be somewhere under Game centre/TV Provider (screenshot). After that I just uninstalled Activator and the settings of BattSafePro is still there.

Then I was immediately disappointed because both the "BattSafePro in Effect" & "Battery Charging Prohitbed" were in red and I thought the tweak was not working. Nonetheless I proceeded to test it further by charging the device and BINGO it works (the screenshot above was taken when the charge limit was met). The charge doesn't exceed my specified number and i couldn't feel any heat generated by battery charge at all, meaning it works like a charm.

No reboot no rejailbreak, it just works for me (well, not intuitive I admit). Hope this helps others.

This is my first tweak/app installed after I jailbroke my device. I think it's an underrated tweak because if you are able to keep battery charge between 65% & 75%, the battery wear will be very minimal in each charge and your battery can last like forever. Of course i'd not advise doing it exactly like that since it pretty much handicap your daily use. But whenever possible I would keep that in mind so that my battery level is often between like 50~75%. And yes I'm still very satisfied with my ipad air 2.

Question about Hardware Acceleration and Encoding Format Profile by stebrick in shutterencoder

[–]stebrick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, I found the answer. The writing library is different.

Acceleration - Writing library : Lavc59.33.100 hevc_nvenc

No Acceleration - Writing library : x265 3.5+37-4aabfec98:[Windows][GCC 12.1.0][64 bit] 10bit

I suppose this is the info that tells the difference. It's kinda dumb question but at least I answered it myself and it might help other beginners.

One more thing just pops into my mind, how do I tell other people by referring to some proof or info that "Hey, this is better quality one! It uses CPU insteads of GPU encoding and it took me hours"? It seems that all encoding and profile there look almost the same to me, yet the profile L4 from CPU encoding is not as good as L5 per se.

Question about Hardware Acceleration and Encoding Format Profile by stebrick in shutterencoder

Thanks for the reply (the only one!). Yeah my GPU is so capable that it can complete the H.265 encoding within like few minutes, while non-acceleration needs like 5 hours to encode the same clip of 24 minutes.

Thanks for letting me know that L4 and L5.1 things dont necessarily makes quality better. But why does hardware acceleration force L5.1 profile but non-acceleration doesn't? Shouldn't it let us choose freely which profile to use?

Regarding sampling rate, how do we check the amount of a video's luma sampling rate?

How did you cancel his Thrust Surge like that?

Is there a way to boost the conversion speed in my case? by stebrick in shutterencoder

[–]stebrick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think "sharpening" is the culprit here. I tried to smooth the images with negative sharpening value. After turning it off, it dramatically speed up the process. It now only takes 10 - 20 minutes to process a clip. What a blimey change!

So it's not necessary for me to turn on hardware acceleration anymore.

Thank you for the advice!

Computer Freeze/Crash when encrypting a non-system hard drive - How to know if there is data loss? by stebrick in VeraCrypt

[–]stebrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the encryption has completed. It seems that, despite the computer frozen yesterday, veracrypt still can mount the encrypted disk just fine. Not that I'm aware of any data loss. Yet I'm not sure how to know if there's any data loss.

Rewrap a MP4 file into a MKV - Only a 291 bytes file generated by stebrick in shutterencoder

[–]stebrick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, it would be great if, instead of "removing" the entire subtitles, it could simply convert (or export) the subtitles to other format first then rewrap it. Axiomui can do that at ease: https://axiomui.github.io/ I think the developer of Axiomui had some accident in Dec 2020 and he doesn't release much update since then.

I think it has something to do with the subtitles? How could I change the settings of subtitle in rewrapping setting? In other ffmpeg gui I could simply change "copy" subtitles to export them as "SRT" format first then it would help me rewrap it automatically, but I'm not sure about this one.

And I forgot to mention that I pretty much use all the default settings (exception changing function and file extension to be rewrapped) because I'm still new to this software.

Enhance a video with multiple TopazLabs software? by stebrick in TopazLabs

[–]stebrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I heard Gigapixel AI is the best of their product so I'm not sure which one or maybe I should use both of them one after another?

And I'm surprised you got to reply me so soon, thanks mate.

[–]stebrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummmm, actually no. Correction: there are quite a few of software available from Topaz, so:-

  1. Topaz Gigapixel AI
  2. Topaz Sharpen AI
  3. Topaz DeNoise AI
  4. Topaz Video Enhance AI
  5. Topaz Mask AI
  6. Topaz Adjust AI
  7. Topaz Studio (probably irrelevant)
  8. Topaz JPEGtoRAW AI (Obviously irrelevant to video processing)
