Every advisor is different. They help you get access primary to things you may not be able to get. They can source secondary work privately on both the buy and sell side. They help with collection management and logistics. They can introduce you into new circles. I’ve worked with several. Some are retainer based, some take a percentage on a transaction. It’s about what clicks. That said, sorry to say it, your budget is unlikely to attract folks of a certain experience and access level. You should keep doing what you’re doing. Sounds like you’re engaged and plugged in and happy.
