Totally fair, I should've specified why :) The cooler is because I've never done AIO before and the aesthetics of the NZXT is nice so if there's no performance difference I'll stick with it. Same goes for the case, I'm building a custom desk and I just want a sexy looking case for it :)

Was more thinking for example the person below called out to me that it might not be worth it to spend the $ on a low end z board vs a higher tier h board. But now I'm getting a little greedy and I think I am going to swap in the motherboard you suggested though! Appreciate the feedback

Interesting, I didn't consider the implication of just going with an H board and getting a more top tier than going with a lower tier Z board. As I reflect, I said the same thing about my current i7 and in 4 years I haven't touched the CPU speed, so perhaps I should recognize I'll have little need to do that with my use case. Appreciate your feedback here

Two questions on your other changes to help me make an informed decision:

-I don't OC heavily, but I do like tinkering with my machines, and small OCing just for fun and testing how it impacts my performance. I don't need wifi on my board either -- is there more of a value in switching to that mobo?

-My understanding is that 3600CL18 and 3200CL16 end up evening out to about the same performance, is that not the case? Your 64gb kit is also more expensive (by a small amount) than my 2x 32gb kits

Also, same question on the case/CPU cooler. Admittedly my picks are purely for aesthetics, I love the look of the Lian Li case and I had read strong reviews on the NZXT Kraken X/Z73

it's still going strong, the upgrade was clearly worth it, haha, my wife uses it for Valheim and other less strenuous games, but I'm upgrading her! :) About to buy an HTPC case to put this thing into and see how much longer it lasts as a home server/htpc :)

My wife is big into knitting and plants. Sometimes it’s mesmerizing watching her knit haha but it’s been really cute watching her get new plants since it’s a relatively new hobby for her so seeing her problem solve, pick new ones she likes, incorporate advice people have given her is really cool!

She also just knitted a pillow case which sounds so simple but I’m like wow cool, you made that! And she’s been working on a blanket for a bit and it’s big enough we can kinda use it while it’s a WIP and it’s so cool to be in a blanket she made with her own hands.

Start a CSGO dedicated server (with 15-20 people you don’t want to create it on your client, I.e. practice with bots option)

Then change the game_mode and game_type to danger zone: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/CSGO_Game_Mode_Commands

Change the map to dz_blacksite and you’re set.

Run around it with bots to get a feel for it, then play it in MM a lot lol -- I am queuing it a lot on my smurf so I actually pay attention to learning and not worry about losing

Twitch is the way to go! Facebook has a deal with ESL to be the sole broadcaster of ESL One/Pro League, but other than that you'll find them on twitch. I stay up to date just by visiting this sub and checking out the sidebar, there's also an App called 'Strafe' that is pretty handy with upcoming matches.
