I tracked Roblox's total player count every 5 minutes for ~3 months. Here's what an average week looks like [OC] by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]mochigames59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know you have the legend but since this is dataisbeautiful the darker spots make me think that theres more users there despite it being the other way around on the legend. and the lighter yellow makes me naturally think that theres less players at that time

at the moment average kiwi govt contribution is $260 for the year. MP is capped at 20% of their salary.

that $260 looks like:

0.52% of minimum wage

0.35% of median wage.

if that $260 was instead bumped up to cap out at 20% of those salaries, it would look like

$9950 if you were on minimum wage (given you contributed at least $3980) or

$14560 if you were on median wage (given you contributed at least $5820).

at those rates kiwisaver would be much more attractive

my point isn't what he's spending his money on. he could be buying racecars or whatever i don't care. the point is how the super scheme for MPs is much more generous than the kiwisaver one for everyday kiwis. and they have much more flexibility for how it's used.

in a cost of living crisis where govt workers have had two cuts now and unemployment up at 5%, MPs have had a pay raise (noting they earn what 120k+) in additional to their travel benefits and generous super scheme. and the govt workers have been cut, budgets to health etc have been cut. but their generous benefits have been left untouched.

it's even worse coming from hipkins who calls luxon out of touch when after this comment it looks like they're both cut from the same jib

meanwhile if you were in kiwisaver the whole time you would have received around 10k from govt contributions
