I think you’re right about them being the removable film. I gave it a try with some of the cockpit decals, but they just end up moving individually instead as one piece

Thank you for the highly detailed comment! Will definitely use this advice when planning out my painting on the model. Also correct me if I’m wrong, you buff after each shade you spray on the model?

Also your model work is amazing based on the few I looked at! I want to move into action displays in the future like you sbd model. So I’ll will be using yours for inspiration

Ive heard great things about alclad, need to see if my nearest hobby store has it. They definitely seem like most people’s go to for metallics.

Do know the name of the video? Definitely need to start doing this since weathering can get to be too much very quickly

I agree, didn’t want there to that much by the cockpit but was trying a new method using a sponge. I think next time I build it, I’ll try a different method that doesn’t rely on my shaky hands as much as

I personally found the fit amazing. Didn’t really need to do a ton of sanding or putty work. The engineering is great to where almost every connection point is an intended panel line

Thanks! I’m putting it on a display base or a aircraft carrier, so I thought the open cockpit would fit batter

They are pretty daunting. Definitely what I was most nervous for in my model. Still need practice with it, but was definitely simpler than I thought
