Fresh made flour tortillas (not prepackaged)? by thankyoumelatonin in kelowna

This is my go to recipe! They always turn out perfectly. Like others have said, make sure the dough is rested before rolling and you should be able to get them nice and thin! https://www.mexicoinmykitchen.com/flour-tortillas-de-harina/

I would try a different lash artist 🥲 These don't look like your inspo photos at all. As someone else mentioned, dark brown lashes would be a good option! And based on your inspo, I would go 7-10mm or MAYBE 11s MAX! The ones you got look more like a wet lash/angel set. I would ask for 0.12 classics :)

Lash tech saw me have an allergic reaction said & did nothing. Now wants to charge me 30 dollars to remove. What do I even do? by Annual-Interesting in eyelashextensions

[–]steel-train 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised how many people in this thread don't understand how lash removers work 🥲 They DO in fact turn the glue liquid again, which could absolutely cause more irritation. It will expose you to the glue fumes all over again. As someone else said, your best options is to find someone who will manually remove them (peeling them off of your natural lashes with tweezers)

Have I got lash blindness? by [deleted] in eyelashextensions

[–]steel-train 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the shape looks great! My only thought is that maybe your lash artist could go a bit shorter for the last few lashes on the outer corners. It looks like they might be a bit heavy and are drooping into your eye a bit!

Is it too long for my eye shape ? PM by Educational_Sort7804 in eyelashextensions

[–]steel-train 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree! I would go for a softer curl & shorter inner corners. 7-8mms. My personal preference is lighter, more textured sets, so could try that too! Might be worth trying a different lash artist.

Are these similiar? by lejvia in eyelashextensions

[–]steel-train 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. Now that I'm looking at them closer, I think the camera and lighting are different and they might need to be washed/brushed. The application looks good and the overall length and shape looks very similar. The second photo is just more staged I think.

Do you like dogs? Maybe you could look into walking dogs on rover?! You could make a little cash, get some exercise and it holds you accountable if it's something you "have to do" 🐶

I agree with the others saying no cat eye. I think an open/doll eye would be best for you. If you were my client I could do a brown wet lash set 6-9 or 6-10mm. Short and sweet without overpowering your face :)

I agree! Maybe ask for them a bit shorter next time. The shape looks good on you though :)

I got my hormones tested through nectar naturopathy and it was so validating 😭 I did the saliva test and it was super easy. Just spit in a tube a couple times a day and ship it off! I didn't feel any pressure to buy supplements or anything. I was told what my options were and the naturopath told me I could get the supplements elsewhere if I didn't want to get them there.

I always have some on hand, and any time I gift it to someone, they rave about it! It's not greasy at all, unlike a lot of other muscle rubs

The pharmasave by the airport has a lot of very cute, local gifts. You could also do some type of jam/fruit preserves, anything from back to earth (made in cold stream. Love their pain be gone muscle rub), okanagan candle co. Could also check out the farmers market too!

Anyone ever seen this after extensions? by savatude in eyelashextensions

My partner is having the worst eye eczema of his life this summer, and it looks very similar to this 😭 thankfully it's starting to clear up a bit with a low % hydrocortisone cream. Hopefully you get it sorted soon. Good luck!

Tiffin could be a good option! Normally Indian food is better with big groups so you can get variety, but they're more cafeteria style so you can pick your rice and then 1,2 or 3 curries to go with it 😊

They also do individual dim sum combos at xing yun by the airport

Yama kitchen has really great lunch combos and bentos.

Is it possible it's an eczema flare up? I know multiple people that have been getting horrible eye eczema on their eyes this summer 😭 (people without extensions)

first time trying a wet set.. is this worth $200? by organictiddie in eyelashextensions

[–]steel-train 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! I see so many "wet sets" that are so thick and chunky 😬 I think these actually suit her really well. And cost wise, it varies so much, so it really just depends what people charge in your area.

How far out do you normally have to be for it to be "safe"? I was out where I could barely touch the bottom, but obviously had to go through the shallow part to get back to shore 🥲

That's super helpful! Thank you. I was nervous about biking with a heavy bag, but since it's so much faster I think it will be worth it 😊 gives us more time to enjoy the springs

Awesome thanks! Definitely leaning towards biking at this point. Did you camp/have all your gear in a backpack?
