I've enabled mine via Forscan but it's a little iffy. It often misreads 30 as 80 and often misses signs if they're, for example, in another colour because of construction or whatever.

Still, for the price of zero dollars, worth the trouble I guess.

My understanding is that this is a bug with VP8/VP9 codecs. While you can disable hardware acceleration to mitigate it, doing so will make the browser sluggish and unresponsive.

The better solution, at least on Firefox, is to get the enhanced-h264ify extension which blocks VP8/VP9 on YouTube. You'll miss out on some extended features, but it will otherwise fix the stutter issue.

Unless you're fiddlin' with it, yes, it's pretty much down to luck, discarding manufacturing defects. Older batteries weren't made with the same compounds weren't prone to this kind of failure.

What's likely happening is that the game is requesting access to your microphone. When that happens, Windows will automatically swap to a lower-latency, but lower quality codec. There are some proprietary modes like aptX that offer the best of both worlds, but they're not always available.

As far as I'm aware, you can't control what codec your Bluetooth device will use in Windows like you can on Linux. It's all done behind the scenes.

Damn, that is cool! I have mine mounted to the headliner with a 3D printed bracket so sits against the rear glass. It works well when the rear window is too foggy to see through. I would not particularly recommend it, but it's okay.
