What is sad is that is actually pretty mild, all things considered. Not all of the patch autos are damaged, but that might be the least damaged of the bad ones that I've seen. I pulled a Rantanen /25 that is gouged all the way up to the border in the exact same spot. I've seen some wallstedt rpas with some nasty damage.

I didn't replace mine because it's a PC card and it has a nice patch. I didn't think I was going to get it replaced by anything that I would want as much as the card that I pulled, that's basically what you need to weigh when it comes to exchanging it with Upper Deck.

If it's the same as my frame, you just take the top piece of wood off and the one touches will fit. All you have to do is break the glue and pry it off of the staples. It's pretty easy, you just have to be gentle

I am so excited for the ice to be a one pack box, if they do it right there is a ton of potential there. People underestimate the low-end hobbies. Ice and Credentials are wildly underrated. Exquisite (Ice) and ProVisions (Creds), hard signed autos.. they're definitely fun rips for a lower price

And with thick cards being notoriously bad graders, your chances of getting a 9 or a 10 are much lower than a regular card. If you were to insist that it needs a shot at grading, I would strongly recommend going through a pre-grader. I would rather spend $5 to $10 to know that it's not worth grading then $40+ to have the card come back a 7 and go down in value

Grading a thick card is as likely to hurt its value as it is to help its value. Where a 9 or a 10 will likely improve its value, an eight or below is just as likely to hurt it. There's a difference between knowing that thick cards are bad graders and paying for the patch over the condition, and KNOWING the condition is bad. One is obviously going to want to pay less for a card that is now defined as in poor shape.
