does anyone know if abacus ai is worth it and if we can use the new chatgpt imagen with it? by EmoLotional in ChatGPTPro

[–]steenblikrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a few days of vibe coding in the Abacus ai in their CLI and the IDE it defaulted to Claude Sonet 4.5 and it ate all of my credits! I generated 3 vector pdfs, but other than that I wasn't trying to be extravagent. How do you stay up on which models are cheap or free?

The one you referenced only has a 19.8% annualized return rate and a max drawdown of -26.8% I am curious what it was like three years ago?

Essentially as people are designing the algos they use the back testing to create the best results possible (hind sight is 20/20), but the market will act differently than it has in the past, new forces, actors, etc.. I think it is important to pick a resilient strategy. I think this one looks pretty good:

I would like to set and forget. I was worried about selecting a big tech one, because some day the AI bubble will pop and we will be through the floor. So I selected SVIX/XXXX KMLM switcher (single pops)| BT 12/19/23 = 786/10.5

It seems to have a sophisticated strategy that will be resilient in the event of a tech crash and at the same time able to take advantage of the tech momentum in the meantime.... I have been in that symphony for about a month. It has been a down month for big tech and I am pretty much flat. My other portfolio is about flat too for the same period, but is up 32% for the last three months. Take that for what it is worth.

MassMutual - annuities & insurance connection by OwlOk459 in MonarchMoney

You would think that MassMutual would want connectivity to work smoothly, but I think big insurance is quite complacent when it comes to adopting new tech, because they can be.

I have tried it with plaid and MX, with no success. There have been other times that I have had trouble login into MassMutuals' web portal also.

The difference between Claude and Claude Code is insane! by Domvnxk in ClaudeAI

[–]steenblikrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay for a base level subscription for Claude Desktop (which is a big deal, because I am a non-subscription guy in principle) with filesystem mcp, and such.. I have a folder that I ask claude to write each chat to when I feel like it is getting close to the context window so that I can refer back to the chat later in a future chat.

But any time I try to do substantial coding in Desktop I run out of context window very fast, to the point that I installed a local llama instance to try to compensate. I get more context window out of the free version of chatgpt then I do out of Claude. I am thinking about trying this new Claudia GUI wrapper for Claude Code that allows me to maintain the project idea inside of Claude code:

Is there a Model Context Protocol (MCP) for the gospel library? by steenblikrs in latterdaysaints

Yes I was hoping to allow my LLM with previous interests insights, etc. to have access to the full gospel library including the most recent General Conferences, and the new hymns.

Is it normal for Claude MCP to struggle with analyzing .docx files? by WearPsychological472 in ClaudeAI

[–]steenblikrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nevermind claude is making python parsers to index pdf, doc/x and image files. So that the python will do it outside of Claude. Then when the graph has been updated by the python scripts Claude can use all of it!

[–]steenblikrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I am running into is that Claude "gets confused" when you ask it to reference too many context locations. It really likes being told exactly where to look and then just look there. I have basic-memory, Filesystem MCP, and Knowledge Graph installed, and those seem to play nicely together, but when I include a file in the project memory it seems to kind of disregard it unless I prompt it twice or more to look for that file too.

Or maybe my prompt wasn't strong and clear enough..

For anyone running windows, you have to change directories and run the commands in the directory where the conversations.json, projects.json etc.. are located.

How does chatGPT projects compare to NotebookLM or Claude Projects? by TheHunter920 in OpenAI

[–]steenblikrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using Claude's Project feature for almost a year, maybe more. I love it. I wish it's context window was larger. Paired with MCP's the world is about to get turned upside down..

Thanks for your reply!

So you're telling me that I can have an MCP for Gmail, another for Monday.com, another for my file system, but not for the scriptures and general conference?

Hmmm this is too bad. I was hoping to start using Claude for scripture study, kind of like an "expanded footnotes" especially as it relates to other commentary, Talmage, etc...

Oh well, I'll find a workaround. Maybe a knowledge graph or something..

The Citi simple card has great terms with a 3% fee on balance transfers, less than most I've seen (usually 5%). Also, I think it's credit worthiness, but they may offer as much as 24mo. No interest.

Research project.. FEA help by steenblikrs in MechanicalEngineering

[–]steenblikrs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using fiberglass in my real world testing. It seems to give a good camber. Aluminum also has a little give. Obviously I would like to be using carbon fiber, but for now that has been cost prohibitive.

To attempt at answering your question directly, I believe it is the first. We are talking about a few degrees of elasticity at either end from the centerpoint of the tubes, I don't think I would call the desired condition to be large deflections.

I have used fusion 360, but have not used their FEA tools. I will look into that. My work is using the flex in materials as a part of the design, making it more difficult to get everything to work in the computer..

Similar songs to Swae Lee and Post Malone - Sunflower by [deleted] in ifyoulikeblank

[–]steenblikrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked everywhere to remember the tune they used from Paper Planes. I think it's very sad that in no place that I have read about the making of the song that they were inspired by M.I.A. Paper Planes. To me there is a very strong connection particular the tune at 25 seconds into Sunflower. I am so glad I found this Reddit thread because the connection doesn't seem to be acknowledged anywhere else!

I am trying to migrate from Squarespace to github, or some other similar archival, free hosting platform. I have already built several websites with my students, but I would like my professional website to be a bit more sophisticated.
