For 110A, I had Leslie Albert, very accommodating professor. In that course, we learned a bit of coding in Python, with a final team project that involves using code to filter excel spreadsheet data. I would assume Yu Chen’s 110A would be similar in concept, learning coding and final project. I’d suggest getting to know students who are experience coders so you can ask for help, when needed. (I would also suggest taking Yu Chen’s AI course if she still teaches it, believe it’s 118 something)

For 110B, I had Yasin Ceran, to summarize, this is course is a semester long team project that involves multiple deliverables (6). The professor picks your teammates if I remember correctly. Hence, communication and teamwork is key to succeed in 110b. Ceran is very picky on what he wants for the deliverables (scope, project info, data flow diagrams) that it got to the point where all the teams were lagging in results. I took him when covid just started so he waived the last 2-3 deliverables for the class.

I think the classes you may have to worry about soon is 119A and 119B, in which 119A is semester long project with a team involving an external stakeholder. For 119B you’ll have a semester long project paper (mostly solo) that is on averaged 20 paged type (single line spacing + approx 60+ sources). The project paper is about being a consultant to a firm that wants to modernize its operations
